Passenger Side Mount for ARB Twin Compressor

Anyone have a passenger side mount for the ARB twin?
Not a big fan of covering the fuse box the way the Rago fabrication one seems to.

A couple considerations:
-I do not need a tank. This compressor needs to air up tires. That is all.
-Mounting in the engine bay would be ideal. Under seat mounts are cool but generating that amount of noise in the cabin is not an option
-I'm out of switches on the dash so I'll likely wire a switch next to the compressor in the engine bay.

Just getting tired of how long my little VIAR compressor takes to air up. It also takes up space in the cabin which I'm not a fan of.

Reading this article and trying to figure out what fits my needs best.

No you're not. And, I meant Google search works well with that after the search criteria. I don't tend to use this site's search, as it doesn't work well for me, either.

 

I installed the LFD about 4 years ago. It's been fine - solid, no hassles, stainless steel. I'd use it again.

Not a ton of info on the Hefty Fabworks mount. The M.O.R.E. mount seems to be more popular on this forum.

I'll likely reach out to LFD to see what their lead time is. I've been impressed with their products in the past.

 

I'm looking for onboard air compressor. Did you go ARB? Thoughts?

 

@MusashiSushi has installed one (see post here) ... maybe he can drop by and give his opinion. It looks like it has 3 bolts into the firewall, which is one more than my LFD.

The fasterflate hose kit is a nice addition as well.

My little Viar88 works but holy cow it takes forever and the thing gets smoking hot.
That said, I think in the manual somewhere it says it should only be used for up to 33" tires and only for a certain time limit.

 

Running the More mount on mine, highly recommend. If you have the extra cash I'd also recommend pairing it with the pressure control unit and you can run the compressor and set parameters via bluetooth on an app:

I have the ARB twin (with aftermarket air breathers) and ARB air tank on a M.O.R.E mount. I frabricated a mount for the manifold out scrap metal and using some extra hardware from my junk containers. Used it a handful times and it works well with my set up. Airs up my 34” Nitto MT’s pretty fast.

 

I have a Bandiworld mount from a chap on the other board. His price was reasonable, super sturdy and had options for an ARB tank and manifold.

A couple of years ago he said he was taking a break. For how long? I don’t know. I’d check him out in case he’s back. I happy with the product.

I have the Mountain Offroad mount you linked on my 2023. It fits fine - just will have an empty space underneath without the tank.

 

Do you recommend wiring a switch into the cabin as appose to a switch on/ near the compressor itself?

I'm out of those little Toyota OEM button slots and don't want to add a switch pro for the compressor only. Mounting a simple switch next to the compressor makes more sense to me.

 

I asked him the same question in his build thread. A switch by the compressor seems like a good idea to me.

I was interested in Brandi’s mount when I was looking for my ARB compressor set up a while back but it’s been discontinued.

I've been using the 4X4Labs mount for two years. It works well for just the ARB Twin - no tank. My one complaint is that one of the bolts can't be installed with the compressor mounted, and the compressor has to bolted to the plate first. So i end up running with one less bolt.

The Hefty mount shouldn't have that issue because the compressor sits further from the fender. I'll switch to that one as soon as it ships. The main reason for the switch is to add a manifold to support a front air locker.

I've been quite happy with the Hefty mount. Since you don't need a tank, neither did I, it will work just fine. It has two mounts on the firewall and one arm that extends below that adds support. It's been rock solid and I like having the rocker switch mounted right next to it. It comes with an optional plate for mounting the ARB manifold in the event you do go with lockers.

 

Do you know if the Hefty mount will work with the ARB single compressor?
