    Thanks Ziggy,
Do you have any documentation on how the remote tune works? Do I get the TSB updates? I also wonder how I roll back the tune if I need to.

Again sorry if this has already been discussed!

    Thanks,
    Mike

We provide any relevant TSB ECU update files to customers in case they need to use Techstream to update their ECU.

All YotaWerx tune customers are entitled to free tune updates if we make/publish anything.

For the remote tuning, you'll receive the VFTuner flash kit (tactrix OBD device and cable) and can install VFTuner and then install the software and refer to their instructions for ensuring successful complete install and setup. From there, you can use our tune guide supplement to familiarize yourself and follow along step by step with basic flash procedure, sources for obtaining Toyota Techstream if necessary, steps to take to avoid bricking your ECU, and ECU recovery steps. If the necessary precautions are observed ahead of time, flashing your vehicle is quite easy and quite safe to do on a regular basis.

If you ever feel the need to return to stock or to try a different tune within your purchased tune pack, you can use VFTuner to flash your vehicle quickly and on an as-desired basis.

Update on 4th gen v8: VFTuner is working on adding the ECUs for support for 2005MY, since several people have reported having 2005's with vvti V8's, so stay posted on that.

2006-2009 VVTI v8 have been fully supported for some time now with the exception of 2006 2WD; that'll be getting added into VFTuner as well.

I got the Yotawerx tune for my 2006 V8 4runner and absolutely enjoy the tune! Noticed a definite increase in throttle response and even though I have no access to testing out HP and torque, there seems to be a noticeable improvement in the powerband throughout the rpm ranges. My 4runner fully loaded weighs around 7,000lbs and with the active duty tune for premium, I wanted to make sure I can get the most out of this tune. Thanks to Ziggy for getting us 4th gens on the map to get a tune going, greatly appreciated!!

This one here is an older photo but taken just before heading out into the desert at Red Sands just outside El Paso, TX for some 4hi and 4lo testing during the tune dev period for our 2020+ 4R tune. ;)

    Lots…
2021 ORP 4Runner. Just got the Yotawerx tune here in Ft. Worth, TX.

Gear hunting gone. Gear shifting smooth as butter.
Minor increase in MPG for me. Noticable off the line, low-end torque.

My wife and I absolutely felt this was the best money spent on the car so far.

    Appreciate you Yotawerx.

We've hit the big 1k followers on IG and have to thank the community for the incredible support and trust they've given us, and we're especially proud of this after having sold the Coyoza brand and started over completely from scratch in terms of community awareness and client base.

Thank you all, and stay safe!

On another note, VFTuner flash kits have been going quickly, bundled with our tune packs; reach out to secure yours before we run out. Will be ordering another batch of kits for restock soon.

2021 4R running right courtesy of our YotaWerx tuner in Arizona :hattip: this customer elected to go with the Active Duty tune for premium fuel.

Like so many others, this truck has had the Pedal Commander uninstalled and is now benefitting from increased torque through the low and mid rpm ranges, smoother power delivery, enhanced throttle response, and our overhaul of the shift logic for the 2020+ 4Runner.

    Looking good!

This morning, Will's beautiful 2021 4Runner got a YotaWerx tune in Southern California, courtesy of YW's tuner network. The Active Duty version was flashed and not only makes this truck more capable in its current form but also leaves it ready for the additional weight this truck will be seeing soon.

Anyone offering this service in Hawaii? Namely The Big Island? Would love to have this in my rig!! Should a Pedal Commander be removed with these tunes? I am also running a URD MAF calibrator, keep or sell?

Hello. We do not have a networked tuner for Hawaii unfortunately. We do distribute our tune packs to customers, both with and without VFTuner flash kits depending on what the individual needs.

It'd be recommended to uninstall the MAF calibrator. Regarding the pedal commander, it's also recommended to uninstall since using the PC or a Sprint Booster with a tune can have some unintended consequences WRT throttle position and related behavior. There are some people here and there who elect to still use theirs, but they do so while accepting that some unforeseen scenarios can occur where throttle response and position and resulting tune performance are concerned.

Ok… AD Premium tune installed!! Looking forward to the change! Took off my Pedal Commander and URD MAF calibrator as advised by YotaWerx.
I will continue to run E free 89 unless I ping. Living here on the Big Island I don’t run anything over 65… unless I’m passing! More to follow!

Ok so I drove 125mi yesterday up and over saddle road to the other side of the island. So that means sea level to 6800’ and back down one way. The shifting was the first thing I noticed. The power was smooth and the pedal felt good. I wasn’t hammering it going up the hills. The old PC I took did give it a more sensitive feel but more power is all that counts. Wasn’t hunting as much in the 4/5 shift zone. MTF

The YotaWerx Tuning network continues to grow, both with recent additions and future partnerships nearing finalization. Customers in many more regions will benefit from this more localized availability of support. Reach out today to inquire about Toyota Tuning Solutions for your vehicle.

    https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/e...ICU4wo_Y&ll=25.4990565840439,-97.72491065&z=3

TPS Motorsports in Santa Clara, CA is a networked tuner for YotaWerx Tuning. They kicked off their joining the network last week with multiple Stryker supercharger tunes for the 3GTacoma, giving those drivers new reasons to fall in love with their trucks all over again.

Support soon to come for the following areas:
    - Northern Arkansas
    - Kansas
    - Santa Ana, CA (SoCal)
    - Albuquerque, NM (not too far from us in El Paso but having local support for this area is still a huge benefit to people there)
    - Waco, TX area
    - Baja California
