That looks like it ran into a zebra. But just with the grille. Maybe it was a small one.

I haven't read the original post, so I'm not sure what this thread is about, but if you're looking for suggestions on what to do on your rig, I really like those little amber lights, like three or four of them across the grill.

Need yellow fog light covers, to introduce more noise to the front end

then attach a bright red nipple ring somehow to the undercarriage. Make sure it’s visible though

Raptor lights are just a design trend, no different than halo's or angle eyes that BMW started back in 2001 and now most all manufacturers have a variation on that theme in their headlights. Let's just hope that all manufacturers don't start adding Raptor lights to everything.

Honestly, I had these on my 5th gen 4Runner and on my 3rd Gen Tacoma, just in a smoked color. And not because I wanted a Ford, which I don't. That said, I don't plan on running these on my 4th gen. They don't really serve any function beyond looks.

Though I don't always agree, everyone has their own preferences and that great, because life would be pretty boring if we all did the same thing.

Excellent video, he definitely made the case for sliders and a lift. It would have been nice to know which parts the ATRAC worked and which parts required the use of the locker.

If you watch his videos..‘I don’t see many instances of the rear wheels being brake torqued.. guy uses a lot of momentum and line picking, coupled with a well modded 4r that is 100% free of the 4Runner lifestyle kinda of crap.

He clearly demonstrated taking on terrain that I personally would avoid. The possibility of large repair bills are always front and center on my mind.

Whats difficult to understand? I have owned a few different Toyota's over the past few years. Check my build thread. If it seems odd going from a newer to an older platform, that's because I really enjoy extreme wheeling and prefer to do this with an older, less expensive rig.

I never said " it's difficult to understand." You come across to be the type to put your thoughts/words into someone else's statement. I don't care about "your build" thread. You don't like Raptor lights don't put them on YOUR vehicle, But don't be criticizing people who DO like them on THEIR vehicles.

Wow, LCJ77, what's your deal? If you had read post #71, you would see that I don't have any issues with people running raptor lights or not. I had them on two different vehicles. So who is putting words into someone else's statement.

Here's the summary: OP likes Raptor lights but his wife wears the pants in the family and he was influenced to remove them by random people on the interwebs.

(OP: I'm kidding. I'm not a fan of raptor lights but if everyone liked the same things the world would be boring.)

Raptor lights are high clearance lights. They are required in the US to signal other drivers that the vehicle is over 80" wide. Putting them on a narrow vehicle is dumb.

AI’s commentary on raptor light aficionados:

**Rebellion and Individualism**: Some individuals may be drawn to Raptor lights as a form of rebellion against conventional norms or to assert their individuality. This can be seen in the strong reactions against criticism and the desire to maintain personal preferences despite societal opinions[3].

    4. **Practicality vs. Aesthetics**: While Raptor lights are legally required for wider trucks, many enthusiasts install them on narrower vehicles purely for aesthetic reasons, indicating a preference for form over function[2][3]

I agree with you. But, it's not really an apples to apples comparison because ditch lights are functional, while "Raptor lights " are purely cosmetic.

Ditch lights are not functional, depending on why you have them. They do not provide enough long-distance light to show the side of the road before you meet it; meaning, at "regular" driving speed your vehicle travels farther than the beneficial light that's thrown. Also, because they are "ditch" lights, and the beam is not forward-facing (angled toward the ditch), they provide even less benefit. You travel farther (faster) than the light provided and reaction time. If you're using your ditch lights to see animals before they come into the roadway, they aren't functional. Your regular headlights provide the same functional benefit.

Well the Raptor lights do help W/Visibility in fog, rain & snow. My point was just because some one doesn't like something on another person's vehicle that's your problem not the owner's. Opinions are like @$$hole everyone has one & most of them stink.:p:facepalm::playball:
