It’s a really a dying area of our modern economy. With the Carmax/carvanna model, dealers are now just looking to bang out volume with a streamline process. Having someone you’ve worked with for years who knows your family/needs and will recommend you something feels like it’s from 100 years ago

Thankfully there are still some salespeople out there who take an interest, learn their product inside out, and take a sincere interest in what May suit the customers needs.

I think many of us on here are enthusiasts and know more about 4R features than most sales people. But like anything else in life you get what you put into it.

Look at Toyota Jeff there is a guy who knows all the features of all the Toyota products. I learned a ton from his videos when doing my research

I would agree with you only for the very small percentage of honest salesman that still exists.

When I bought my 4R I walked away from 2 dealerships almost getting into a fight because of the major waste of time and lack of disrespect from the salesman I dealt with (granted it was during the chip shortage and they treated every customer like shit)
Something similar happened when I helped my mother in law get a new Rav4 at a different location.

In these instances, I really wished I could just go on Toyota.com, select the car that I want and pay MSRP without haggling and wasting days or driving to the dealership for nothing after they assured me we had a deal.

Only once, I met an honest salesman and had a great experience, but these are too rare nowadays

What a stupid thread, to an obviously AWOL OP. Everyone knew the 4Runner was being redesigned for years, even if it made little sense with a new "midsized" Land Cruiser known to be coming over here too.

All of these dumb skeptics with nothing upstairs...
