Your post reminds me of this quote by Salvador Dali "There are some days when I think I'm going to die from an overdose of satisfaction."

Yeah, we do. I think we should make a list of why we rule. I'll edit new stuff up into my opening post as they come in.

    First category.
    We know stuff:
    How to read a map...
    We can quote Salvador Dali.
We know who Salvador Dali is.

65, sold my consulting business seven years ago, moved to the Texas Hill Country and have been enjoying the heck out of life ever since. Thoroughly enjoying my 2024 Limited but also still loving my 2011 Tacoma TRD Sport. Married 42 years and the wife and I are about to embark on another project - building an addition consisting of a workshop and oversized two story garage. Life is good!

I'm 66 and drive a '23 Off Road Premium. Still working part time and slowly building up the 4Runner. Putting on a new Fox suspension next month.

Learning from you guys here! I'll be 65 in eight years. By that time, my '22 ORP should have about 150,000 miles, and I hope we both have many more years after that.

I’m 76 and don’t work on my 2022 4runner. I retired in 2005 and still get out there everyday to fly my birds in the sport of falconry. I worked 30 years at the Post Office and my goal is to be retired for 30 years. I am more than halfway there. IMG_0132.png

That's kind of my retirement uniform. Slippers for sure. I wear mine everywhere. My adult stepdaughter has had to move back in with us for a while and now I have to wear pants... damn it.

When you gotta go, you gotta go. My wife says that I could be arrested for weenie waving but I always tell her that I will just explain to the judge about my prostrate. If he is an older guy, he will totally get it.

Had 2008 & 2012 FJ's, 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport Access Cab, & a 2018 TRD OR prior to this one traded that W/64k miles on it. almost 5 yrs 1 month shy.

Turned 64 this year. Retired from law enforcement in 2012. Since then I manage a very large resort community and absolutely love what I do. No desire to retire and my health is still holding out, probably because I live an almost stress-free life.

That sucks. My son split up with his girlfriend and has been staying with me "temporarily" since November of '22. o_O

It's funny how annoying it is to have to wear pants all the time!

So, coming up on 71 years on this earth. 2021 retired. 2022 bought a 4Runner Limited. Already changed out the chrome snow plow on the front and converted to an SR5 bumper cover. Lowered it for about a year with a crappy ride so it is now about two inches above stock with the XREAS shocks still in place. Blacked the whole thing out including the wheels and tail lights. Now looking for an alternative to the 20 inch wheels and skinny tires. Checking on TRD Pro type wheels and tires maybe. Don't want the speedometer to be too far off. Just joined the group so haven't looked in here yet.
And my favorite saying, "I don't want to grow up!"

60, just picked up my 8th 4runner a month ago, TRD Pro. As soon as Obamacare and bidenomics kick in so I can afford it, I'm retiring.

Hey there! Spent four years as a bomb loader on F4c and ds back in the early 70s. Caught the end of the Vietnam "War" with a duty assignment in Thailand loading anything and everything. Bombs, missiles, napalm. All the fun stuff. Got out disabled but kept on working for a bunch more years. They were spraying Agent Orange on the base that I was stationed at but so far so good. Just running out of joints to get replaced. Right hip is now the next one. Oh well.

If you want her to move out, quickly.... Lose the pants. While you're at it, throw in random bodily noises. I have crop dusted my family members on MANY occasions to get them to leave the room/house or just leave me alone.

    It works man.

P.S. I'm not old. Well, I'm not as old as y'all old asses! (but I will be soon)

70 in September. I have 25 mostly wooded acres in northern mi that keeps me busy with a large garden, chickens, cats, dogs, and 3acres of grass to cut. My neighbors are deer, elk, bears, coyotes and assorted critters. Retired 19 years ago. I live near many, many miles of back country dirt roads trails and two tracks that my 4runner eats up.

Retired 8 years, less than a year til Medicare, Yippie!

Most of my career in the domestic Auto Manufacturing, then Silicon Valley. Been to many Japanese Mfg plants over the years, so Japanese built was high on my list. On our Second 5th Gen 4runner. Currently in a 2020 OR.
