Yes, there is. It's called a turbo.

Kidding aside, a turbo motor can be plenty reliable if it's built for it.

Only if it was built robust like a diesel, but these cheap ass companies will never build them like that. Will you buy a $20,000 2.5L motor?

I lost my Grand National to the second wife. Can confirm the turbo can accommodate for displacement "issues". That cat will be greatly missed, had a 4.1 bottom end built before the walls came tumbling down. Majority of issues I had all revolved around converter choice, not the turbo.

Yeah, you're right. Toyota has never built a good turbo motor.

Toyota's will last a little longer, I'll give you that. But this 2.0L crap in the Jeep is a time bomb. And it belongs to a Mini Cooper, not a Wrangler

The 2JZ-GTE in its day was a rocket, in my opinion.Gotta think it had a hand in engine evolution through the manufacturers.

I really didn't see anything too bad about them when I was cruising Jeep forums earlier this year.

They have had recall, coolant leaks and stuff. Read more. I have a friend that sold it and bought a 3.6

A Jeep is not a jeep unless it jeeps like a jeep. The jeepiest of jeeps has NO doors and no roll cage. I'm a jeep purist. Jeepers

Why dont we get together and form a vehicle conglomerate and give the masses what they need. 1st thing is Android auto/ apple car play is an option. We are focusing on performance an capability only. We will be talking 40 plus spline axles and two speed Atlas\Rockwell transfer case. Bumpers /winches will be available with cable type.
Open to suggestions to add to this fantasy.

Don't forget large tires for ground clearance. If it doesn't fit 40's with no mods I'm not buying it.

Sad thing is that prius probably still gets better gas mileage than Yotaholic. I guess self identification isn't everything ;)

This is starting to get almost as silly as some of the threads a while back where people were arguing. What a "true Land cruiser" is, lol.

Oddly enough, judging from the pic of the first jeep, more wheel and less sidewall!

Well since you asked, I think toyota should extend the GX spindle grill throwback to its sewing roots to all future vehicles.
