I expect your correct, I want to wear these tire out then go with a lil smaller size next time.
I dont want a lifted 4runner, but I'm ok with leveled.

Before and after 1.25" wheel spacers. With some fender trimming I'll be good!
I have 285/70/17 & was rubbing a lot. The spacers got me clear of suspension parts but brought me closer to the wheel well liner & fender on the front. Live n learn...

20230116_143643.jpg 20230116_143700.jpgHere are some pics of where I trimmed because of rubbing. I still want to lift the front 1.5" , this should look better & help a tiny bit with clearance.

Lots with more in the works
Tundra/Sequoia wheels with 265/75/17 on them. Essentially stock height here, I had 2nd gen Tacoma front Bilstien shock and springs on the front with 07 FJ Cruiser rear springs and standard replacement 4th gen 4Runner rear shocks.

Same suspension and wheels here but with Toyo 285/70/17s.

Same wheel/tire combo ,Tundra wheels, Toyo 285/70 tires but the wheels have been painted and with a full ADS suspension. This is where is sits right now, minus the rack. I painted the wheels with Rustoleum paint and clear coat. They've held up very well, minus scratches from rock crawling. The Tundra wheels also have slightly more offset than the stock 4Runner wheels and I am also running 1.25" Spydertrax wheel spacers.

This looks really good! Might have to downsize to 275’s from 285’s. Gonna check weight differences right now lol.
