Nice ladder, glad you finally got it.

I have a customer/ friend that ownes a fab shop that built the rack for my tacoma and enclosed trailer. We will use him for the 4runner rack also.

True, which is what I’ll be doing for everything else. It’s just that they were the only one I could find that had a ladder for the 3rd gen

And it’s not here. Called again today and was told they would look for it and call me back. No call back and I tried calling them back 3x and went to their VM so I left 1 message.

I leave here on Tuesday and was hoping they’d be able to tell me where it is or when it would be here.

At this point I can not recommend Gobi to anyone at all and I’ll be advising people to look elsewhere for a rack or ladder.

Social media pressure can be a bitch for them. I had to shame my contractor into just coming to pick up insurance checks via yelp and facebook. You would think $8k in checks would be important enough to take time to simply pick up, lol.

I'm in the market for a rack as well, there is no way in holy heck I would consider GOBI after reading the neverending threads about how crappy their customer service is.

Amen to that brother; I’m shopping now for a nice rack and I personally think any local Fabrication company would take my $1,200.00 + TN sales tax and pull together something very competitive to there design! … Every paying customer deserves respect and a return call.

I'm with you on Gobi, i would not reward them for bad behavior, if finding a somewhat less rack or ladder then so be it, i mean how much more of this paying more for less can we deal with.

Agreed. I've been googling the heck out of different brands and talking to guys that have different racks. Honestly, I'm really interested in the new flat ARB racks, but no one has anything on them yet. I'd like to see one on a 4R before dumping the cash. The steel 87x44 one is $495, and with the 4R fit kit, heck, you are still at around (only, lol) $700.

I have the ARB touring rack with the ARB fit kit. It was fairly simply to install on my own (needed a little help getting the rack on) but once I did it was easy going. I haven’t seen any roof leaks either.

ARB’s IG has some posts on it today.

Just a heads up to those interested... if/when you do get your product from Gobi, give it a solid look over. I had a ladder sent to me that was absolute garbage. Pinholes in the welds, chipped finish that was flaking and spots that had been touched up that were about an inch long. They gave me a time for a new ladder to ship and of course missed that delivery date. When the replacement came, it had chips in the finish that were rusting over. Horrible quality, and the customer service was bad as I had to ask and ask and ask for updates. I ordered months ago, have shipped the ladders back and am still emailing them for my refund.

Is that the 49" wide rack? I think they only make that style in one width, but am not sure. There is one of those on craigslist near me for a decent price, just waiting for the guy to answer my email. He has it listed as a 90"x53" rack, but it is definitely the touring model like yours.

I'll be scratching Gobi off of my vendor list for the rack and ladder search... kinda sucks... I really like their stuff.

You should look at ordering it through a vendor that has them in stock. I found one but I can't remember the name of the site

Called, got through and had the shipping address changed to AZ so I can pick it up enroute to CA. When I called they noted that my order said “must be delivered by June 22nd” and then said they had one ready for shipment and if I wanted it. I said yes and asked when it would arrived...7-10 days. So I had the address change to a family member so it would be there when I get there.

Got the email notice that it’s being shipped

They told you 7 to 10 days when they have one just sitting there? BS man! They had one sitting there for me and I got it two days later
