Small and subtle change but I'm not a fan of chrome at all, just used 3M vinyl wrap here

Cut a piece about an inch longer around all sides of the logo, make sure you clean the surface first and start applying the vinyl in the center of the logo and work your way to the edges. If you have any way to heat the vinyl it's going to help you a lot (hairdryer, heat gun) to work your way into the crevices once you get the top surface covered. If you don't have any vinyl wrap tools just look for something small and flat that you can use to push and tuck the vinyl into the edges (that won't scratch or damage it, edge of a business/credit card can work well), good vinyl is pretty forgiving so if you need to pull it up and stretch it to work out any bubbles or creases it's not too bad, especially if you can warm it up. The better you can wrap the vinyl around the logo, the easier it's going to be to cut so take your time forming around the vinyl. Once your ready just be careful when cutting taking your time around the curves. Also, cutting slighter over the logo if you can't tell exactly where the edge is can be helpful so you can just tuck the excess into the edges when you're finished cutting.

Installed a compact air horn that I got from Amazon. I used this brand to install a set of horns on my 2018 Aprilia motorcycle, so not totally unknown to me. Wired it up so it works with the OEM horns, which I replaced with a set of Fiamm Freeway Blasters. Followed the wiring diagram, using the supplied relay, tested it first with jumper wire leads, and all was good. Figured out where to mount the horn and relay, then wired everything up. Measured the sound output using a dB meter at a distance of 12 feet from the middle of the front bumper. With just the Fiamm Freeway Blasters, max output of four beeps was 99 dB. Hooked up the compact air horn, repeated the process, and max output was 106 dB.

    What came in the box:

    Air horn_20240302b.jpg

Horn mounted on the center "brace" under the hood latch. Used a nut to space the horn mount away from the brace, with large washers on both sides:

Relay and relay ground mounted using existing bolts (red is fused, goes to battery positive; white to ground; yellow to air horn positive; blue to OEM horn positive):

Dual Fiamm Freeway Blasters I mounted a while ago:

Knocked out this Ironman lift a few evenings ago. A little over 4 hours with help from the wife to align the UCA bolts. (Good opportunity to exercise those innuendoes..)

Wheels and tires on too and an alignment done.

Sketchy! Glad you didn’t hit these trees ahead. Guessing you were in 4LO? Would be interesting to try again using crawl control to see how it compares

The part you didn't seed is me stopping at the crest of the hill to make sure I was lined up correctly. I had it in 4H because I knew it would be a slide-fest with the melting snow. I think crawl control would have been useless with the mud.....it was a squishy slip and slide.

Being on my land I knew how much room I had ahead. If I had been on unfamiliar land I likely would have gone a different way. Afterwards, I drove out through the valley because there's no way I could have drove up through the mud regardless of what traction assist I was using.

Thanks. I post stuff on the tube just for myself, friends and family.......I'm clearly not a social media videographer ;)

Lol, I did too a little. Thank God I was lined up right. It's definitely not hardcore wheeling but it was nice to get out on such a nice Northern Michigan day.

Well, a 20 mile round trip to the car wash and it's at least cleaner ;)

Yup, I'm not a 4-season type of person. Whenever I read these "10-best" lists of places to retire, I factor out any place that snows or gets high humidty, whittles down the list pretty quickly.
