Well didn't plan to, but got my Blackvue dashcam installed.

It came with a lighter socket plug and I didn't want to look at the plug sticking out of the center console (ocd a little) so I used the center console storage plug and drilled a 1/2" hole through the front of it to pull the cord through underneath the shifter area, under the glove box, up the weather stripping and pillar, under the headliner and plugged in.

Only after all that and adhering it to the windshield did I realize it was blocking the light sensor on the rear view mirror :annoyed:

I was excited to share with like minded people. That’s a test fit with preliminary cuts before I do the Final Cut and add the auto trim and fasten everything down. The Steven Buscemi teeth tuck behind the bumper. That shits funny tho. I still have to trim more but ran outta daylight.

Forgive me, no one's claiming to be perfect. The internet is the internet. I tried not to take a jab at as low of a level. I stated right off the bat all it needs is auto edge trim. And you know to add that, so I hope no hard feelings sorry.

I have personally complemented this 4R build, at least once already previously
    $50,000 truck.
Center bumper worth many hundreds of dollars, at least in CAD.
It's the high level of quality that truck has, that makes the cut so hard to look at.

I mean, the wings are one thing, they're notoriously difficult to incorporate and sometimes lack instructions. But I was poking at the bumper cover around the Body Armor bumper. No one "test fits" any bumper that heavy to take back off again imo

I was butt hurt at first but then edited my post. I agree with you. I’m not test fitting the bumper, I’m test fitting the front facia or bumper cover. Still not happy with it and will return to it on the upcoming days off.
    No hard feelings here.

I will admit, I really wanted to bust your balls when I noticed you were in Philly.

I figured (hoped, really), that it was a rough cut and you weren't done. Clean that shit up and show us the final product!

I mean, it looks like he under cut to test fit. At least he has good margins to trim and make a much better fit.

Me on the other hand, I measured a half dozen times and then went to town with the dremal. I'm stuck with the gaps I ended up with

Yeah I’m lucky. There’s still too much material of the bumper cover above the wings. This is preventing the center to go behind the central bumper like it did before I had the wings and also causing upward pressure that’s making the bumper cover closer to the tires to push out. Honestly I got pissed taking the bumper cover off and on after trimming a little off each time. I knew I had to step away for awhile.

Yeah, taking it off and on is a real PITA. When I installed my low pro bumper it was a single day with a friend. Doing it myself would be at least two days, and if I took the cover on and off for a good fit like you it would probably be more. I'm an impatient bastard so I taped it up per instructions and then started cutting with a maniacal laughter like dexter.

Even with a friend I should have probably taken at least two days but live and learn

Took the dogs for a walk tonight and got to view how much brighter the Meso hatch lights are v.s. the OEM lights. Took a quick pic. No flash etc... just hatch lights. Much brighter. Really light up the area. Maybe a brighter bulb would have done the same but kept the OE look (?), but I'm happy I installed them.

The screen is also adjustable up and down. So if you need more air flow, you can simply drop it down a bit.

It's a PITA for sure to get the angles right, especially since it changes every time you mount the wings as they push the plastic around. Don't be like me and make it "perfect" since you need a little gap to prevent rubbing.

If it was me mounting all those zombie lights around the basket, I'd maybe mount one more, that can illuminate the roof basket, so you can see where everything is. Mount it on some kind collapsible pole, so you can extend it up to shine down on the roof, then collapse it down so it's not sticking up like an antenna.

Hey Mike, I assume they are Huskies or Alaskan Malamutes? My wife and I are Akita family.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
He's lying, he's not a dog owner. "Husky Mike" is his pimp name. He roams the mean streets of San Diego putting the smack down on his ho'z.

    My secret is out...

Huskies. Some people think Max is part Malamute because he's extra fluffy, but he is a "Wooly" Husky. Mika has some of the wooly fur but not as much as Max.

Husky Ho'z. Wonder if it's too late to trademark that.

My daughter and I (mostly me) worked on her '23 TRD ORP yesterday. Upgraded the halogen DRLs to LEDs, with the wire harness mod. Also installed a set of Raptor lights, with a fuse tap to the low beams in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Put some yellow Lamin-X film over her driving lights to make them yellow fogs. And installed a set of raised storage pieces in the doors (advertised as being able to hold cell phones without falling out). Overall a productive day, she's very happy with the results, and hopefully learned a thing or two in the process...
