That looks super clean I had some mistakes with my cut but using use some edge trim https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M8MAOLI/ it really cleaned up the area.

 

I like this, looks super clean as well!

I used a box cutter carving trick with a fresh blade to make the rough opening, finished it off using a burr tool bit in my drill…

That is why I have my hitch hooked up all the time. I live in the Bay Area, plenty of dorks on the roads and nobody is tailgating me when the hitch is on.

 

bought 25' of Pro Form weatherstrip foam tape
got uses for this all over the 4R

stuck some to the fire extinguisher mounting bracket to tighten and stop tank from sliding again. This also raised the tip up from making contact with plastic.

 

That's really good to hear. It sure does look nice in the pictures and....gotta have that volume knob. I think we can all live with some finger prints.

Taking a break from designing and working on mods, packed a lunch and drove over to the beach to just sit, relax and marvel at how comfortable my T4R is.

Gave the SR5 a bath......will be clean til thursday when we get a skiff of snow and the DOR spreads salt like its goin out of style! Ugh!

 

Took advantage of the unusually warm weather to clean the 4Runner inside and out.

I think the hitch receiver combined with the lift helped a lot. It looks like all of the damage might be limited to the valance. There might be a couple scuffs on the bumper cover. There's a scuff on the spare too. The receiver doesn't look bent, neither does the exhaust.

 

Local Meijer had a bunch of car care stuff on clearance so I picked up some detailing products and cleaned up the windows. Also got the inside vacuumed out.

I currently have OEM rubber floor mats which I'm not impressed with. Debating Lasfit, smartliner or oedro.

 

What did you use to trim the body work, a dull butter knife?!

 

Daughter got a set of Oedro floor liners for her '23 TRD ORP, they fit really nicely, the fronts have extended edges, so they'll keep the carpets pretty clean.

Had a Discovery with a trailer hitch, guy rear-ended me going about 30 mph. I had a couple of scratches on the bumper, the Honda didn't fare as well. Ever since then, I've put a hitch on every vehicle that came with a receiver.

I am sure that when the wings fastened, they sit where they sit. And the bumper cover sits where it sits.
I mean when you get time, can loosen them and add cheap automotive edge trim to your cuts.

 

I was concerned about that before I installed it. Tonight was my first drive after the install. Turned the heat on and didn’t notice a thing. FWIW, the screen height is adjustable if it really bothers the owner not to have direct air on them.

 

Looking at this guys front bumper, is like looking at Steve Buscemi's teeth. So many angles, sizes and odd shapes.
