I like the idea a lot. Does anyone else have a concern that a passenger might try to use it as a door pull???

It has two strips of 3m tape on the back as well as an adhesion promotor to wipe the door with, so it's on there pretty good. I think it would hold up to that, but worst case you could restick it back on. Or maybe put spikes on top of it, like a bird deterrent.

I didn't use the tape. Only happened once. Passenger thought they broke my door. I told 'em to put it back. I've had them for 3 years now.

Only used what leftover filament I had but certainly gives thought to color matching the compressor…maybe TRD red?

Found this little chunk on Amazon. It's HEAVY.

    Very heavy.

    It's all metal.

Personally, I like the way it looks. Was very easy to install. You twist put the nut on (not super tight), screw the ball on as tight as you can get so it's oriented correctly correctly, and undo the nut just enough to sit on bottom of the shifter to keep it from rattling and moving. The problem with this item (outside of being heavy) is that if you screw it all way down, it won't orient correctly. But it doesn't rattle with the nut just under it.

I need to do this on my Tacoma which is white. I think it would look great on the lunar rock 4Runner too. How long did this take?

Brought the 4R to the dealership for the free 20k miles service.

Told them I’m doing the 5 tire rotation as I have a full spare. They did it but when I got home I noticed my spare tire was hanging, almost hitting the ground. Can’t believe they’re not even capable of putting a spare properly! As I grab the tools to fix it, I noticed my wheel lock was missing. Eventually found it on the floor inside the cabin.

also they suggested changing the cabin air filter. Insane how much they charge for such a simple thing. And I’m surprised they wanted to change it as I replaced it 2 weeks ago so it is really clean!

free isn’t really free. I am not taking their free service, just do it myself or take it to my mechanic I have used for over 10 years.

Wow! That's one of the worst I've heard.
    Bunch of hacks.
Sorry to hear. Happy everything's alright and you weren't really fooled.

Like I've said a few times here, the dealership is not your friend, ever. That's why it's been coined the stealership.

Interested in your feedback given you clearly take your rig off road. I'm currently lifted roughly 2.5 inches, running the same wheels, with 285/70s and they fit nicely, no rubbing, even flexed off road, but I've been eyeing a set of 285/75s for my next set of tires. I also like the tall skinny look.

How are the 285/75s fitting with the stock wheels? Do you have a bmc?

I absolutely love it. Driving at night it is so much easier to see. It’s like the hood disappears. And thank you I also swapped my scooped hood for the flat hood

I have them and this did happen and it pulled right out. I re-installed with better tape adhesive as the adhesive they come with is close to worthless.

Ahh I did the Avery black satin vinyl in about 25 mins. The Xpel paint protection film takes a little longer. That was about 2 hours then let it sit over night so you can roll the edges. Looks much cleaner

Nice! I'm not a fan of the hood scoop either, luckily the SR5 doesn't come with it.

I told my daughter, who recently got a '23 TRD ORP, to ignore the "free" scheduled maintenance service intervals and take it in every 5K miles to get the oil changed and tires rotated, even if she has to pay for it. The ones at 10K and 20K should be "free", but the ones in-between she'll have to pay for. It's cheap insurance, one of the very few pro-active maintenance things she can do. I plan on doing the same with my '23 Limited.

I have the 15-speaker JBL system in my '23 Limited, and it's not nearly as good as the 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen system that was in my '22 Explorer ST. I'm basing that statement on the volume level and sound quality. With the B&O, I'd rarely have it up higher than 14. With the JBL, I've had to set it as high as 30 to match the level of the B&O that I was used to.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
    It's non-JBL, and now it's Pro-Awesome. I love how it sounds.

Another benefit to installing the AMP to my Trail Grid Pro speakers: The built in mic is A LOT better now. Before when I would call someone using the bluetooth in my truck, the sound/mic quality was shit. People could barely hear me talking to them, or would complain about "wind noise".

I called someone after the amp was installed (again, using the bluetooth) and the person on the other end said he could hear me loud and clear. No background noise or any other issues. "You sound like you're on the handset and not wireless!"

That's disappointing to hear. The B&O in my Raptor is shit, even compared to the alpine system in my Rubicon.

I had a Gladiator Rubicon, which I think had a factory Alpine system in it. The B&O in the Explorer was still loads better.

Just did this super clean console mount for my glass breaker. Doesn’t block anything and no accidentally kicking it onto the ground when it was mounted on the door pocket.IMG_1908.jpg

I'd be interested in hearing what you think of them on the Limited. When the time comes I am looking to put a slightly more aggressive tire on my Limited. Any pics directly from the side?

Thank you for your service, you help all of us afford brand new 7.5 inch wide rims on E-bay for $550 a 4-pack.

@Number16 if you are interested in taking your new 4Runner off pavement, might want to check out some OEM TRD OffRoad wheel take-offs from E-BAY. It would open up your tire options so much. Maybe you'll end up with @BMunster234R wheels.

Heck yeah….sold my set of OEMs for $400 with 60 miles on them…so these TRD Pros only cost me about $700…worked out for both of us!

None yet only owned for 1 day, but they are coming!
    Don’t judge but….

I have owned the ‘23 TRD ORP for about 3 weeks now. Wife isn’t happy about the money i spent so quickly so far on it but in the last 3 weeks, I blacked out all the emblems including steering wheel, complete LED upgrade, 2.5” lift, complete weathertech liners, cheesy stuff includes TRD Offroad license plate frames, AJT keyfob and a TEQ grill emblem. I have been waiting almost 5 years to buy a 4R so knew how i wanted it to look and im getting there.
