What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I'll swing by and see what they say. Lots of anecdotes online of this issue popping up at a post-lift alignment--none that say the shop damaged anything. Meanwhile it's super annoying to drive.

In other news, the Gobi rack FINALLY showed up, and I managed to slap it on myself before it got too dark.

 

Grata job! They’re heavy!!! I installed the steel ones and was thinking these are bomb proof. Did you go with the rear differential skid? I’m thinking about it but I don’t drive off-road too much.

 

Nice! Glamor shot requires getting on a boulder for the undercarriage flex shot. No lift needed.

Did not get their rear diff skid. Not really necessary imo. Yes, it is the lowest point, but I would just take a different line lol. I am sure it can take some punishment anyway. Didn't get the gas tank skid either. Didn't want even more weight on that side, and C4's doesn't even hardly have drainage holes for some reason.

I am 2” lifted in the rear and went with the shorty.

that doesnt look too bad. Thankfully you didnt loose control and crashed. You could get the insurance to give you cash instead of fixing it and shop for you own aftermarket bumper

Haha thanks. It was an awesome rig. 3” lift and 35s. Sold it to a buddy and got a Tundra. I do miss it though.

 

My wife got the 4Runner and I am in a 2014 Chevy Silverado. I want a 90s Land Crusier or your model GX once my truck is toast. But I will have to figure out how to function without an arm and leg to pay for one haha

 

This mod can get you easily an extra 10hp!

 

Give it a few years until the new gx comes down in price. They fixed the ugly front grill.

 

Got Raptor lights in, wired to tail lights & Brite box Anytime Fog lights. There's a "Cap" on the boot at firewall that Main harness & Hood release run through. I looked on the inside & saw that it was a tube, so I cut the "Cap" off & ran the single pwr wire for Raptor lights through, Then eventually I had the 3 pins from Pwr supply harness to get through there. I ran 0.041 safety wire from cabin to eng compartment, electric taped 3 pins into a tapered "bullet" re bent safety wire back & pulled it through!! When I tried it No lights, The fuse holder had receptacles off center. I spiral wrapped wires for both lights & Pwr supply for Brite Box, Tywrapped to Batt hold bracket. The other feature vs the "Antman" Mod I did to my 2018 is the OEM Fog Light switch on Turn Signal still works & If you use that the indicator on the cluster display shows those lights are on, W/Brite Box it does Not show they are on.

 

New shoes. 275/70r17 wildpeak A/T. Bone stock, can get them to rub in reverse. So next up some massaging.

 

Eibachs Set @ 0.85 Worked on my 2018 TRD OR perfect, except towing Boat, Frt would float on Hiway Wicked bad when 18 wheeler's would pass talk about Xwinds!!

Kevin, These are the ones I had in my 20g Pro. I just received my new set for my 23. The seller is great to work with. His number is in the box with the bulbs. If you have any issues he will send you new ones out right away. I had an issue with the set in my tundra pro and he took care of me. I was waiting to get this set with the puddle lights so I can do them and the smoked sequential lights on the mirrors.

Well, I haven't done it, yet.... But I pulled the trigger tonight and I'll get it installed on Dec 31st. (Best Buy's gonna install it).

I upgraded my speakers several weeks ago (Trail Grid Pro's) and they sound great, but I ordered a Kicker amp and LCi 6 Channel Line Output Converter.











When I had my speakers installed, I heard the same speakers with this setup installed and it sounded SO much louder. The bass was a lot deeper and the music was even more crisp.

Don't get me wrong, the speakers sound much better than the crappy factory setup, but now....I can hear richer bass and crisper highs. All in, these two devices plus install will cost me $799.91
