Nice wheels, NOW you need some real tires to go with those wheels. Like.....say, Falken Wildpeaks. Bro, those street tires have got to go!

Bro, be honest. If you have to say "It's not that bad", it's because it really is that bad. LOL

The day I picked up my 4runner, I drive it STRAIGHT over to Discount Tire to put better tires on it. I had it for less than 20 minutes before I upgraded it.

of this work setup for a few months now even though I have a contractor box van I work out of daily.

I am going to run this setup starting today full time while starting a new venture till I can move up to a Ford F250 with a 8' bed, steel cap
and same bed-slider arrangement. before you say that is a lot of pack-outs, that is only 3/4 of them. the other contain fittings, fasteners
and other consumables will just have to live in a trailer or job-site.

also, what you can't see till I slide the platform back in is a 3 drawer pack-out on one side and 2 drawer pack-out on the other side both
    accessible from the rear door.

Nice setup. After years of the thing I needed inevitably being on the bottom of the stack, I threw out every packout that wasn't a drawer or cabinet.

Funny you say that. I have a "day pack" that is more of a bug out/get home bag. It has tons of useless crap as a day pack and when I tried to find something in it on a hike a couple of weeks ago, had to unpack the whole thing to get to it. I had just repacked it a month or two ago so wasn't familiar where everything was but made me think... maybe I just carry too much shit

Got an alignment today and was greeted with this gem:

    PXL_20231214_165338183.MP.jpg

So now what. And why does the silly thing disable traction control when the slap on PCS freaks out?

I think any problems disable traction. My gas cap was loose and the CEL came on. My traction and crawl control was disabled.

Dang, they look beefy for being stock size! I didn't realize Wildpeaks were so bulky like that. E or SL? How does acceleration feel since they're heavier?

They are SL's. They are only a few pounds heavier per wheel. But to be honest, I swapped out the stock tires the same day I bought the 4Runner, so I never got a good feel for how it previously drove.

Rolling resistance seems fine/normal though. I can easily average 20-21mpg with these big ass tires on; to me that seems like a huge win. They "look" cool but I'm not downgraded to getting 16MPG like some of the other guys (the ones that have 285's or E loads - Those fuckers are HEAVY!)

I'm going to guess one of the ABS wires got damaged or isn't seated properly.

I used a mom and pop for my alignment. The tech owned a 4Runner off-road and showed me the additional steps required for the alignment. It included syncing several items. Not sure how critical it is, but the software did display those steps included for the 4Runner.

So Raptor lights show up today. Looks like the harness IS long enough to go thru fire wall to pickup Tail/Stop Light Pwr supply so I can have them on W/"Parking lights!. The video from the Mfg made it look like it was only long enough to use in eng. bay, I was already to splice in wire so I can use the internal fuse box. We'll see Sat. IF I don't decide to do it tomorrow on working remote time??? Weather is supposed to be basically same both days BUT I always like to do stuff ASAP because you NEVER know what can come up work/personal wise too. I do have my Co. phone if email/call/text come thru! I get impatient when it comes to mods I had & want on new vehicle! Yeah I'm spoiled that way :rolleyes::yes::frustrated:

@kojak - I second this post here. I did a "surprise" realignment off-roading in April which left the steering wheel cocked 30 deg left while driving straight and brought all those lights. The Alignment shop had to cycle through several steps to get the sensors to reset but the techs at the shop knew enough about 4 runners to make sure it all got completed before leaving.
As an aside, even though PCS / Traction Control were offline, the important 4X4 systems were still online. 4LO and 4HI and A-TRAC all functioned. (for me that was because it was zero calibration not a wheel-speed sensor which would have thrown off A-TRAC).

Your alignment shop should make this right or refund you the money and you can find a different local shop that is familiar with 4Runner alignments. (seems super suspect of them to say "all done" and have all these lights lit. I'd be concerned about trusting that shop to do any other work if they'd overlook something like that while driving out of the bay.)

I have a limited, so coming from 19" the Wildpeaks are noticeably heavier in regards to steering and driving in general. Just more meat on the ground with more grip. I saw 1mpg or so decrease.

I've read that before, guess I'll take a look. Seems like a weird thing to damage doing an alignment though. Haven't found any resolutions from searching besides "the dealer recalibrated the PCS".

True, but I don't really feel like going round and round with them trying to fix it for the same reason. They did my last alignment with no issues.
