We’re all guilty of overlooking things time to time.

Its too bad that the salesperson wasn’t thorough pointing out all the options of the smart key process.

Should be explained to the buyer when you’re getting ready for the test drive.

Didn't test ride as I was trading in a 2018 TRD OR, but yeah he could've shown me that or I could've asked when I saw it didn't use a key too:facepalm:

$1300 CDN for the top, so take off 30% for the US$ equivalent. The trailer was a couple grand earlier this year. They went surplus about 20 years ago so finding an unmolested one is pretty hard these days and the Canadian military only had 2000 of them made. I replaced the tires as well since it still had the original military tires with tubes, not recommend for long highway distance travel.

Was worried the rear springs I ordered (b12 1.5” 400+ lbs) would sit too high. I guess my rear platform is just heavy enough. Now it’s time for an alignment. Tires should be here soon

My new seat covers — no, they aren’t fancy or custom fit. They are Carhartt of all things, but they are waterproof and they actually feel great and they aren’t broken in yet. I don’t know why but that nylon duck canvas material feels good. I like the simple look too. $78 per seat cover on Amazon.

To each his own, sorry it’s offensive I’m just glad I even have a 4Runner. I don’t have a lot of money like the rest of you high rollers do.

Thanks for posting. I wondered how well the Carhartt fit. I'd consider something like it for muddy conditions, especially red dirt mud.

Got the Gobi email that my rack is almost done, but I bet the bumper I just ordered from Canada still gets here first.

I was thinking about the Dobinsons/5100s combo the other day.

I have Dobinsons shocks and springs now. The front rides nice, but I'm not a fan of the rear. I apparently bought the shock with "comfort valving" (so I was told) for the rear. But sometimes I feel like the shocks aren't dampening the spring rate that well.

I have the C59-325 springs with the IMS59-50705 shocks. Seems like I might be better off with the IMS59-50701 shocks or maybe switching to the 5100s.

I talked to Crikeymike at exit offroad about the valving on their rear IMS. He told me a about a year ago Dobinsons got rid of the comfort valved and normal valved options and now just made one option with valving that is somewhere in between the previous models. Might be good to double check if the regular valved ones are still around.
