I've been thinking about getting similar decals made, for almost the identical spot! Looks great!

Do you have any interest in selling your stock TRD Pro rims?
    Thanks

Thanks man, if you do want to buy the TRD Pro wheels, I'd look into the FN TRD Pro style wheels. The TRD Pro wheels are only 7" wide so that limits you to a maximum tire size of 275. The FN's look almost exactly the same except they have a different centercap (that allows you to change the centercap easier to whatever you want) and are wider to accept a larger assortment of tire sizes. If you plan on going bigger than stock that is.

Perfect, thats the first i've heard of FN Wheels. Saved me a headache for sure. I live in Northern California, don't do to much off roading, but WANT to start with my 5th Gen SR5. I plan on getting the 6112's, UCA's, Tires, and Rims. Eventually getting the Gobi rack for storage, and then adding a few extras; compressor, extra battery, and hot water shower system. I figured the foundation (tires / suspension) is the best place to start, as I can't stand the body roll, and nose dives.
Thanks so much for the info on the wheels.
Going to start looking into ordering a set.

@bajaproject, I'm also looking at replacing my front shocks with bilsteins. Can you tell me about your decision to go with 6112s over the 5100s?

I know the question wasn't directed to me, but the 6112's are a 2.5" diameter shock vs the 5100's which are a 2.0" diameter shock. This allows for more oil capacity which in turn allows for more cooling and longevity. The 6112's also have larger shafts which are stronger than the 5100's.

Thanks for jumping in. I'll save up a few more pennies if I go this route so I can pair it up with the coils that bilstein offers with it as a kit http://www.bilsteinus.com/products/truck-off-road/bilstein-b8-6112/

That's probably the same spring and shock as the TRD Pro, just not painted red.

I imagine in form they look identical, except the 6112 is height adjustable (the TRD Pro Bilsteins are not) and the TRD Pro Bilsteins are specifically valved for the 4Runner.

Looks great. Waiting for my Gobi to arrive in March. How long did it take to install and were you able to do it by yourself or did someone help you? Thx.

Hey everyone! Got my 2013 4Runner Limited (yes, my first 4Runner) a month ago and love it!

One thing that has always been weird to me is that manufactures do not put hood lights in cars very much. I always feel that I need a light when working in the engine compartment (even in the garage). Secondly, if I am on the trail or on the road and need to fix something in the engine compartment, I no longer need a separate light.

With this in mind I decided to make my own LED hood light that would come on automatically when the hood was raised. I used waterproof white 5050 LED strip (with black PCB to blend in) for the lighting. Combined with a door switch, it was easy to make, looks great, and helps a lot. The door switch grounds to the body and all you need is a fuse holder to connect to the positive of the battery. Once installed, you can’t see anything. Great, easy project to add that cool but practical touch to the 4runner.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I apologize for just realizing this was asked of me. Please forgive the tardiness.

Yes, I installed this rack since I'm weird about folks working on my vehicles. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I did have help hoisting it up and over so I could fasten the bolts down. No drilling required and already tested this rack on a 2,400 mile trek to Colorado. Held the gear tight with no issues whatsoever. Worth every penny and should last for years.

I really took my time and made sure everything was in order before each step which took me most of the day.

Very happy with this product and we did add the ax and shovel mount which carried these items on our trip with no issues.

The hardest part was waiting the 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Let me know if you have any questions with the install or if you run into issues. Have a great weekend.

Received my new Firestik II antenna last night, and tried to tune my CB radio tonight. Something isn't quite right though. SWR readings are up around 1.7, and go completely out of whack when I put the plastic tip on over the tunable tip. This normal? Do I need to do all my tuning adjustments with the plastic tip on? Any suggestions on how lower the SWR readings down to 1.0?

    Ahoy!

I pulled the trigger today on a white Pro! I'm still hoping the dealer can substitute it for a cement, but I'll be happy with white if not.
Currently awaiting build this month and then the boat ride over. So I won't be posting a whole lot until then on here, but I'll be putting up a new members post shortly with my link and bio of what I've got and what I've had!

    Glad to be here!

Yes, the Tundra is here to stay.
Will be replacing the 2016 Rav4 SE that is the "wifes" sort of speak.

Will be torn between the two and when to use them where, but I'll figure that out as we go lol.
