Picked up from dealer and drove home.
Tires need to go, and needs a TRD skid plate.
Thing is danm near brand new. Put it on lift and very little to no rust on chassis which is amazing for a NY car.
Edit: not a fan of the running boards so they need to go at some point to.

    Sooo.

Using 303 graphene nano spray on my multi-day detail and graphene treatment...

In person, I can see a very big difference between the coated and uncoated sections, even on white. The reflection is much more focused and less spread out or dispersed and it also comes off as much more searing or bright.

The application is taking an amount of effort similar to silicone paste polishes. I might be over-exerting myself just because it is white. Thick spots maintain a darker graphene look so they're easy to find and wipe out.

This photo may or may not be something that you can see the difference, but I took it anyway. It is of the driver's side back quarter panel and the driver side rear door. I was hoping the reflection would kind of capture the A versus B difference.

I ended up just removing the cover and throwing it somewhere. It was annoying always finding it laying somewhere in my cargo area.

Yeah I think it’s one of the under rated areas to visit. We truly are blessed here in the PNW with some special places

That looks like an insane spot to camp. “Awesome” is a proper word for the sight. Also, “mildly concerning” given that thing is a sleeping volcano.

I got to visit Seattle for a week a while back. It was sunny all week with unlimited visibility.

Everywhere I went, I seemed to have this very mild unsettled feeling. Later, I realized it was due to the fact Mt Ranier was always visible, looming large on the horizon, but somewhat hidden by the distance, like the moon in daylight. I was surprised that such a beautiful sight could also be kind of creepy.

I asked a salesman about map updates with the new system, which I believe started in 2020 for all models. I was told that they do update, even outside of the trial period. Supposedly, the radio updates as well.

Now, this is not the salesman that I bought the car from. I was just chit-chatting.

I can tell you this much, a map updated one year ago had information that changed at least 5 years ago. Toyota and their infotainment technology, it still sucks. There is one aspect of the older infotainment system I liked, that's the ability to do updates with a micro SD card. I'm sure that support will end as well...

Staying in a hotel for a month and I wanted to do something for my gal that required no tools. So I decided on some avs low profile window vents that I found on sale during Labor Day weekend.

    Too much crap
Yep, it bugs me too when it randomly falls out. But I keep all my ratchet straps and bungie cords in those cubbies, so when the cover falls out, all my tie downs end up all over the place. It frustrated me so much one time I almost frisbeed that thing across the desert. Those latches were only $12 bucks for a 4-pack though so it was worth the extra trouble to secure them

I took delivery of Toyota OEM door edge guards today...

I thought "simple enough." Holy cow! Nine pages of PDF instructions!

I feel grossly incompetent and unable to install Toyota DEGs.

$40 retail, $79 option. Whoever installs it, earns that $39! It takes a PhD in physics to figure the installation out. :D:D:D

    ■ Thermoplastic-coated stainless steel is
precisely matched to the exterior finish
    ■ Compression-fitted to door edge contours

Yeah, I was really happy that the in-transit configuration I bought had already included them. I looked at how close and flat they fit and figured that installing them myself would be a major headache.

Would those still fit with a front steel bumper (c4 low pro or otherwise)?

Will do. It might be a bit before I get time in the garage, but will post up my thoughts and pics when I do.
I'm not exactly sure because I haven't spent any time researching bumpers, but based on the mounting I would think they should be independent of any front bumper setup. They caught my attention in my recovery point search and were my choice for a number of reasons - including the mounting configuration (2-plane), installed height/point clearance, quality appearance/style, radiused opening, and hopefully a true bolt-on installation without permanent mods to the truck.

As I mentioned above, I'll post up the install pics and my thoughts once I get them on. My experience so far is that KAON was very good about replying to inquiries pre-purchase- so that's a good sign. They come from Australia and aren't cheap. Especially when you factor in that I had mine re-coated in red instead of the only 2 color choices they offer - a gray and a maroon color (they called it red but not what I'd call red!). The factory finish got a couple very small chips in transit, likely because for some reason US Customs felt like they had to open the package to inspect it. The powdercoat they come with seems really good, so the chips on the edges were likely due to the inspection process and the way they were handled and re-packaged. It wasn't bad and I would have lived with it but I didn't like the color anyway. If I had ordered the gray, I would have just bolted them on.

Significant other also found these fancy cardboard boxes on jeffs. Fit perfect behing the trophy seats, but i need to find a way to keep them from sliding around if i put them all the way forward with the seats down.

I wouldn’t jack it up from under the trac bar. They are track bar adjustments from Dr Kdss’ website.

Oops. Haha. I glanced too quick! Shock indeed. I still wouldn’t jack it from there but some might. Is it safe to do lift it from there?
