What a joke of a tire for a TRD Offroad. Come on Toyota!

Drove home from work for the last time, now working remote W/62,855 mi on it. Looks like I should make my 75k for the 2025. If I do this will be the longest I've owned a vehicle because of the miles not going over 82k except my Mustang GT had 115k when traded it in.

You can't beat the space in this thing. 4 big tires look like nothing. Who needs a Tacoma's bed.

This reminds me that I posted on the Tacomaworld forum a while back that I wanted a set of takeoffs from a new(er) Tacoma. I need a set of tires for my 2003 Tacoma, 265/70/16, which come stock on some new Tacomas. I figured someone in my area would do like you and replace them...I got nothing, no hits at all. I posted that 4 months ago.

you mean overweight, underpowered, no towing capacity class?

I get you love your 4runner, but interior room is an odd thing to brag about.

    HT = highway terrain

The Dunlop AT20s were stock on mine, nice ride, but I wanted better rain traction. For a final cost of $290, I switched them out for the Bridgestones. No fishtails on wet concrete while turning now.

I love my interior space. I think it’s quite cubular, convenient, and spaceous. It’s not as much space as a semi truck, but it’s pretty close. And I can park it anywhere, unlike a tractor-trailer.

I am not sure that cargo space is one of the fortes of the 4runner. I carry a folding table, wagon and some other stuff and it fits but not what I call spacious.

I measure my cargo space by how many bodies it can hold. I find it more than adequate

What do those have anything to do with interior space? Looks like you want less weight, more power, and more towing capacity. An Aluminum Diesel Gladiator, with more power, and more towing capacity is right for you. Yes, Jeep bodies are made of Aluminum now. You like Aluminum?

I'd like aluminum. Light weight and doesn't corrode as easily. Would be great if a fully boxed aluminum frame could have the same strength as steel - 4runners may very well be indestructible.

But at the risk of hijacking this thread to discuss it, let's start a new one. Lots of thread hijacking for the sake of arguing lately (I'm guilty as well)

No I don't like Aluminum. I didn't pay 50 grand to get Aluminum. And I didn't pay 50 grand to get a Corolla engine like you find in the new Wranglers either.
You should seriiusly trade in your 5th gen, you don't seem happy with it. Give to someone who will appreciate it

What do you think of their fit and finish? I always thought of them as being just another cheap Chinese junk factory but I got a matte black rear bumper valance from them and I'm happy with it. Fit was about as close as I expected for an aftermarket part where there are probably some shape variations vehicle to vehicle to what it had to mount to

There pretty good, I only wish I had wrapped over the joints in the bumper. At just the right angle you can see a trace of chrome IMG_4500.jpg

That’s an idea! I thought about lifting the overlays on the joints and going at it with electrical tape

I used to work in manufacturing - you'd be amazed what a sharpie, other color match permanent marker, or wax stick can cover up. Most of our stuff sat inside though, not sure how well marker would hold up to the elements

All I can say, is that I had have 2 leaking shocks in 35 miles. Both my rear shocks look like absolute trash at 35k miles. My OEM shocks looked much better after 100K miles on them.
