First oil change, 1500 miles. I'm not looking forward to the next one, but it will probably be easier.

Fixed my smashed tailpipe and at the same time gave myself another inch of rear clearance when I'm going up steps.

Found a cheap but good 285/70/17 for a spare last week. Then this week found an OK TRD off road wheel with a schitty tire. Got them mated up today and sitting under my 4runner nicely. Sorry no pics.

Extended/diverted the differential breather behind the wheel well shroud and left enough loop to allow axle travel without compromising the extension.

Got some Lasfit floor mats. They fit really well, but I hope I don’t regret the purchase I didn’t realize they had an issue with the twist lock holding it in place. Only had they a couple days, will report if I have any issues.2D1238B4-0505-4916-B029-29338EC396BF.jpg

What issue are you talking about? I'm curious, I've had them about 8-9 months with no problems.

Glad to hear it, I was on another 4Runner forum and a couple members were says how their mat locking clips would break and the mat would slide forward. I personally have not experienced this, and I had Lasfit mats for my RAV4 before this with no issues.

Added a Victory 4x4 rear hatch molle panel. Not overly complicated to install. Worst part was reinstalling the rear hatch panel.

(Ignore the decorations. Please. I don't have a true outdoor work space so I have to make due where I can find a flat surface sometimes.)

No, I won't. They are fine decorations.

It has been a month though. It's fine to celebrate the 4th 12 months a year, just sayin'...

At least he didn’t work on the Molle panel in front of his (lit, decorated) Christmas tree on the other end of the room.

I added the same one a few months ago, and love it. Decided it will be better for my bad back than twisting and stretching to reach a window panel.

All these incredible builds and I'm just happy that I had a relatively easy debadging. 30 seconds of a hair dryer on a low heat setting and another 45 seconds to pull each badge off and remove the adhesive.

It must be the warm humid weather.

Installed the following this afternoon on my '23 TRD ORP.

    Sequential Turn Signals:
    https://yotaxpedition.com/products/4runner-sequential-turn-signals?_pos=1&_sid=b55f07ff7&_ss=r

    - These were pretty easy to install, you don't actually have to remove the inside mirror glass like the video suggests. If you tilt the mirror to one side you can slide in a standard screwdriver and release all of the plastic clips needed to remove the back of the mirror and swap the signals.
    - The clips that hold the signal light itself in place are extremely weak and if you bend them too far they might actually break off. The new signals definitely don't sit as tight as the factory ones.

    Front Black Valance:
    https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/pr...-rear-replacement?_pos=1&_sid=40b569fe6&_ss=r

    - Heard many horror stories about this install but it went really well. Was able to remove all of the clips in 10 minutes or so and the reinstall was even faster. Was going to buy this from Yota Xpedition but they were sold out so went with 4RF. No regrets.

    Third Brake Light (smoked black):
    https://yotaxpedition.com/products/4runner-third-brake-light

    - Super easy install. Looks great over the factory.

    LED License Plate Lights:
    https://yotaxpedition.com/products/4runner-license-plate-led-lights

    - Super easy install, way better than factory. Better visibility on the backup camera.

    Pro Grille:
    https://yotaxpedition.com/products/yota-x-4runner-pro-grille

    - Went with this one and the black letters.
    - Putting the letters on was pretty simple but you do have to be careful to line it up so none of the letters are crooked.
    - It's super easy to strip a screw if you have to unscrew and rescrew to straighten a letter out. Make sure you go slow and get it right the first time.
    - Pulling off the factory grille is a bit unnerving and it did feel like I was going to break some plastic. Had to give it quite a bit more force than I had expected. Turned out okay.

Already looking so much better in the front.

Just got the truck a week ago and have done a few little things to it. Being in AZ, I knocked out the two most important things first: remote start and window tint.

I installed the StartX remote start which is based off of a compustar module, and thus, any compustar long range RF remote kit will work plug and play. For $300 I have a plug and play system with 1/2 mile range and 2 way confirmation. It also allows pit stop mode where I can leave the truck running, take the keys out of the ignition and lock the truck.

Next was tint. I had the shitty dealer installed tint removed and had 15% put on all around with 50% windshield in Suntek CIR ceramic. It is incredible the difference it makes at reducing glare and keeping the truck cool.

I transferred over a few things from the tundra I traded in, to include the scangauge and dashcam. I’ve got the scangauge setup for engine and trans temps. I mounted with this bracket but trimmed the back part off so I could use the rear port for a cleaner install.

This evening I did a hidden garage door remote install. I took a momentary switch and soldered it onto the garage door remote and then shoved it behind the center console. It’s easy and inexpensive but feels complex when you get to open your garage door with a dash button.

Takos, this might be what you need to make that switch lit.
