    Raybestos FRC10464 reman caliper
    Bosch BC606 ceramic pads

Also put in Wheelers WOR-306952 urethane bumpstops. The OEM 12mm bolt heads were beginning to round off; had to heat them with a propane torch to loosen.

Yep, it's ORP......not Pro. I really liked the Pro roof rack I installed and I'm changing out the grill to the Pro style because it looks so much better IMO. I figured since I'm doing all that I may as well add the badging.

Today I got the front end aligned after I installed the suspension/UCA's etc. Then I installed the sequential turn signals in the mirrors getting rid of the bit of chrome and making the turn signal much more visible.

Stock was rusted. I picked up this 13 year-old 4Runner in January as a daily, slowly catching up on maintenance and replacing worn/rusted parts on weekends.

You're mistaken. The factory jack is solid. It's a purely mechanical jackscrew. Whereas the hydraulic jack is one O-ring leak away from the vehicle crashing down on you. The factory jack is well suited for roadside repairs.

An almost “done today” post. C4 Low Pro bumper and Extreme LED lightbar for showed up. Just waiting to to get the powder coating done and then tackle the install. Has anyone installed this bumper without a winch, and then removed to install the winch afterwards? Just wondering how painful doing that is? Don’t have the budget right now for the winch, and am not doing anything more than mild offroading till next year.

Nice set up. I'm running the Trail Standard Incog bumper with no winch and the 25" Extreme Combo light bar. Shouldn't be that big of a deal to remove to add the winch. I'll probably add one as soon as my 4Runner is not the daily driver.

Having installed the C4 with winch a few days ago I'd be surprised if you'll be able to add a winch with the C4 still bolted to your 4runner. I think you'll have to remove the bumper to secure the 4 winch mounting bolts. Access to those with the bumper still attached is likely impossible. Hopefully someone who has actually attempted this will reply.

Agreed. It would be much easier to remove the C4 to bolt on a 90lb winch than trying to squeeze in with it in place.

I was quoted $400 minimum plus a $200 "cleaning" fee. $600 total. Quote was for this rear bumper.

My lo pro was $450 total to powdercoat. He mentioned a zinc coating as well that is part of the process. I haven't researched or studied the entire process.

How do you like the light bar? I bought some of their Stackerz and enjoy the product but the customer service is horrible! I sent one of the pods back as it was obviously not the same as the other 3 that they sent me. They received the product June 23rd and I still have no information on the replacement. I’ve emailed them multiple times and have not gotten a response since their first response telling me to send it back with a shipping label. I wouldn’t mind the wait time if they’d at least respond to my emails. I haven’t set up the lights yet so I’m hoping they’re gonna be good!

Hard to say. Hard to say a lot of things depending on the winch size.

I would just wait. It's going to be a serious PITA to have to remove the bumper and lo pro to put a winch in there. There's probably no way to get a winch in there afterwards even with a winch for a quad. Removing the bumper twice means you'll have more opportunity to scratch it up. Just wait.

You may also need to bend the AC line and either move the power steering cooling line or mount the winch controller elsewhere.

I just posted a lot of details and pictures on it in the build section. Should be at the top of the page.

I know you're excited to put it on but it's better to be patient and do it right. Will cost less in terms of money and time.

Edit: also call around and talk to the shops about rugged 4x4 bumper grade power coating. Ask if they have a sample there you can come see. I wish I had asked to see a sample, or even paid for them to do a small piece of metal as I am unhappy with my powder coating.

After reading through countless threads on tire fitment, repeatedly using this fantastic tool - - and agonizing over whether or not they would actually fit... I finally pulled the trigger on 285/70/17 K02's today. Not to my surprise (after pain-staking research and measurement), they do in fact fit with no rubbing on my stock 2020 SR5 Premium with ORP wheels. And yes, that includes at full lock, and in reverse at full lock. Though I was prepared to do a fender liner pushback and trim the bumper, or remove the mudflap, none of that was needed - though I may still do the fender mod for good measure when wheeling.

I have a 2" front/1" rear Dobinson's lift on the way, but I went ahead and did the tires now because A) they were on sale this weekend, and B) I knew that if I can't make them fit on stock suspension then they definitely would not fit when suspension is flexed off road, even with a lift.

Love these tires, and truth be told, they are really not that "big." So if you are using ORP wheels then to me it is no big deal at all to go to this size tire. Hopefully this info helpful to anyone else agonizing over this decision...

That's weird man because when I put the same tires on my ORP. I rubbed a lot on both side of the wheel and had a lot of marks to prove it.

I even rub on the frame slightly I noticed recently but I think that's when I'm fully locked and fully articulated off road.

    -12 offset MR701 wheels.

0 offset will have more rubbing. I tried with +4 and it rubbed on road until I add a slight lift. Need to test offroad and see if I need more lift. My 4x4shop say atleast go 2in lift front.

Also every video on YouTube with 285s on +15 wheels rub on mud flaps. Front bumper rub can be easily fixed with trimming. All my 4runners after lift mud flap rubbing was solved. So with my experience all this no lift 285 post I'm like meh...

I have to test offroad and it would specifically have to be a a specific scenario at big down drop for lot of weight in front tire and at specific angle. Because swaybar is also fighting not to compress suspension in full and when swaybar is level at on pavement level when it twists its pulling the wheel forward in theory if you think about a circular motion. Also full lock doesn't rub. Its that position slightly before fully locked could be the rubbing point.

    Atleast on my 4runners,

    • 285 KO2 on +15 wheels didn't rub on SPC UCA
    • 285 Falken Wildpeak AT3W on +15 wheels didn't rub on factory uca
    • 285 Toyo Open Country AT3 on +4 wheels didn't rub on factory UCA (not tested offroad yet)

This isn't the norm for me. I do alright but I'm not rich. This build has been on my bucket list for many years. My wife passed last year and her bucket list wasn't done. At least I'll have this checked off in a few weeks once the rest of the items for my build arrives.

Plus, I wanted to see what it felt like to toss the warranty out the window on a week old vehicle....mission accomplished, lol.
