So are you going to run a front license plate or not? I've noticed a bunch of us are in the same boat that our bumpers don't have a license plate mount.

If I do a aftermarket bumper I would get similar bracket for my front license place since here in CO we have to have both license plates.

Hows the ride different from the stock ones. I am planning to get this done this month. Are you running 285s?

I added one just to cover the winch (it looks more cleaner to me). My state does not require a plate in the front.

Looks neat. How difficult was it? Me dreading the bumper removal, have the valances sitting in garage for a while now.

Yea, the back mounting plate is installed there behind the fairlead. I want to go get some black wing nuts to hold the plate on rather than the big ugly plastic knobs.

For those with a C4 Lo Pro, how much of a vertical gap do you have between the bottom lip of the plastic bumper cover and the bottom of the horizontal top piece of the c4 bumper?

My gap is just about finger thickness, maybe 3/4". Curious how other installs ended up. Thanks.

Now I get what you were asking.
Mine is tucked to its highest position - as C4 suggested in their install video for Off Road models. I can easily slip my fingers into the gap. So I guess about 3/4”.
I also have RCI skids underneath. Which I no longer need their filler plate that I had. Lo Pro integrates with the RCI nicely, no huge gap.
IMG_0081.jpg I guess I could adjust the C4 a touch lower for better spacing. But it’s good enough for me.

BTW, I like how you added a sheet of mesh behind the factory grill. Looks great! I also thought about doing that. Got lazy again.

I did however extend and mounted my air compressor quick disconnect inside the bumper with access through the winch control access. So I won’t have to pop and slam the hood every time I air up.

It's really not hard at all. There are a couple youtube videos that show every step. If you turn wrenched frequently it's maybe 30 minutes. If you infrequently turn wrenches may 1-1 1/2 hours taking your time.

Yea, haha I could have described the gap better.

I know I set my height of the bumper to match the frame rails it bolts to. The top edges are level at least.

I have the RCI skid and filler as well. I think I'll cut and bend then add the filler piece to cover the 1. 75" gap. For the grill, I cut cardboard templates for each of the grill sections then cut the metal. I think it catches about 50% of bugs but it's more for stones. PXL_20230705_235305612.jpg

Your 2023 MGM TRD Pro came with a silver rear valance instead of a black one? Asking because my 2022 came with a black valance from the factory.

I went with the Hawse front license plate bracket but I'm not in love with the big knobs they included so I may switch them for some nuts and just remove the front plate when I go off roading.

Roof rack and badging say TRD Pro. @Rob41 what's your trim? Trying to figure out why you'd have a silver rear valance with a TRD Pro

Got a Curt jack pad P/N 28272. Fits right over the factory jack to spread the load when lifting by the transmission crossmember.

Also put in Wheelers WOR-306952 urethane bumpstops. The OEM 12mm bolt heads were beginning to round off; had to heat them with a propane torch to loosen.

Yep, it's ORP......not Pro. I really liked the Pro roof rack I installed and I'm changing out the grill to the Pro style because it looks so much better IMO. I figured since I'm doing all that I may as well add the badging.

Today I got the front end aligned after I installed the suspension/UCA's etc. Then I installed the sequential turn signals in the mirrors getting rid of the bit of chrome and making the turn signal much more visible.

Stock was rusted. I picked up this 13 year-old 4Runner in January as a daily, slowly catching up on maintenance and replacing worn/rusted parts on weekends.

You're mistaken. The factory jack is solid. It's a purely mechanical jackscrew. Whereas the hydraulic jack is one O-ring leak away from the vehicle crashing down on you. The factory jack is well suited for roadside repairs.

An almost “done today” post. C4 Low Pro bumper and Extreme LED lightbar for showed up. Just waiting to to get the powder coating done and then tackle the install. Has anyone installed this bumper without a winch, and then removed to install the winch afterwards? Just wondering how painful doing that is? Don’t have the budget right now for the winch, and am not doing anything more than mild offroading till next year.

Nice set up. I'm running the Trail Standard Incog bumper with no winch and the 25" Extreme Combo light bar. Shouldn't be that big of a deal to remove to add the winch. I'll probably add one as soon as my 4Runner is not the daily driver.

Having installed the C4 with winch a few days ago I'd be surprised if you'll be able to add a winch with the C4 still bolted to your 4runner. I think you'll have to remove the bumper to secure the 4 winch mounting bolts. Access to those with the bumper still attached is likely impossible. Hopefully someone who has actually attempted this will reply.

Agreed. It would be much easier to remove the C4 to bolt on a 90lb winch than trying to squeeze in with it in place.

I was quoted $400 minimum plus a $200 "cleaning" fee. $600 total. Quote was for this rear bumper.
