About 2 weeks I ordered a TRD skid plate, but hadn't had time to put it on. Finally got around to actually opening the box today, and to my surprise, BAM Auto sent me the wrong skid plate. It is for a Tacoma. Luckily, they are correcting everything. But today was a nice day. Not too hot and actual nice spring day for Mississippi.

    Oh well.

It'll get shipped back to them when new one arrives.

Well ANYTHING you value (and of value) should be kept inside your AirBNB. Memphis car break-ins are up this year so far (surprise, surprise). Seriously. We deal with the thugs a lot at my agency. I can't tell you how many recovered cars we get from Memphis rolling down I-55 into north MS.

Anywho, be safe, have a good time, and if you get a chance, go to the Pyramid and see the Bass Pro Shop there (if you've never been). And have some good Memphis BBQ. :)

They slide on the just the same. But since they no longer reach the floor, they reveal small gaps between carpet and the mounting base. Depending on the paint/carpet color it can look unfinished if one is picky.

They are Bushwacker fender flairs. I am not sure I remember where I actually purchased them TBH. I am almost positive I bought directly from manufacturer. Easy to install too!

(but damn I don't remember their site featuring that ugly version of a 4Runner in the promo images. Shuwee them wheels and tires are hideous!)

Replaced front door speakers with Inifity 9632ix 6X9s. Treated doors with Kilmat for vibration dampening. Adding Kilmat to the outer door panels turned the tin can 'ring' sound of doors into a nice 'thud' (when tapping on the outside of door). I did the dash 3 1/2" coax upgrade a few weeks ago with Inf 3032s. Overall, a really nice upgrade for not a lot of money. Next up, the head unit.

How hard is it to apply dampening material? I've seen stuff done on Tacomas but never really gave it too much thought?

Not hard. Just takes time. I liked working with the Kilmat product. Gloves, heavy duty scissors and the roller tool are what I used to apply it.

What size tires are those? I cannot get my 285 spare back underneath. Any suggestion welcome. I do not want a tire swing.

Finally got around to installing the ARB diff breather kit. Took all the precautions of running hose from engine bay, and the safe side of the exhaust heat shield, above the driveshaft, and kept a loop slack above diff for suspension flex. I was surprised to hear air being sucked in when I removed the stock breather valve. My truck only has 7,000 kms on it, and doesn’t seem to operate well. And truck had been sitting for at least 5 hrs before I started to remove the valve.

Eibach Stage 2 lift. Pro front grill. Sound deaden doors, cargo area, and rear tailgate. Diode Dynamics fog lights. Anytime front camera connected to Kenwood head unit. Kicker sub and amp. GX rear bump stop and Energy Suspension front bump stop. FJ cruiser shift knob, rear molle panels, black paint climate control knobs. Sherpa crestone roof rack.
5six, I plan on using the same breather kit myself. Can you clarify what you meant by" doesn't seem to operate well".

In the grand scheme of things, a solid axle assembly and/or a IFS differential are sealed units. When they operate at normal driving speeds, heat and air bubbles form. That's when the breather does its thing. It releases that pressure so it doesn't compromise the axle seals. And when a vehicle is stopped for a length of time, those sealed units begin to cool down. That's when the breather closes it self to reduce the chance of any moisture intrusion. And thus creating a vacuum. The breather is operating as designed.

And what do you mean by "doesn't seem to operate well"?

Nothing like the satisfaction of doing something yourself AND saving money in the process.

Open a beer and enjoy some tunes on those new speakers.

I’d rather not in open forum. If you send me a message I’ll reply with it

but to your question it was simply installing the speakers I bought

Which was a crutchfield variety pack with component dash/front
