Take off the hood insulation and fill as many gaps between hood sheet metal and support ribs with polyurethane caulking.

@playdixie for me everyone in every video (with 5th gen T4R's) tapped to the yellow wire, so I knew it should be correct. In your case, green seems to be correct right. Check ur connections with multimeter to rule out

Added an AC outlet to my center console. Sometimes when traveling my wife uses her laptop and instead of carrying an inverter, extra cord, etc this seemed like a nice option.

If there's enough interest I can try to put something together for the group. I did take a couple pics along the way.
I used the Guild Outfitters/Redside electric interface kit:
    https://guildoutfitters.com/products/400w-in-motion-harness-by-redside-electric
When I talked to them about ordering this kit (nice people by the way) it wasn't yet confirmed if this kit worked in 4Rs because it was orginally created for the Tacoma.
A small word of caution in that you will have to create a longer extension wire set than is included. They indicated that since it was now confirmed to work in the 4R, they would look into a new extension harness for this application. I liked the PNP aspect of the interface. Taking apart the rear cargo area panel was the biggest PITA out of all of the project.
As pictured in the link, I think a lot of Tacoma owners are putting the outlet in the side of the console. I think because it is easier, but I don't think it quite looks OEM there. I think inside the console makes it look OEM, but you could definitely put the outlet in the side of the 4R console, too. In fact, the center console side is stiffer on the 4R than on the Tacoma and also I think there is more area there, too (I have this mod in my Tacoma, as well).
A word of caution about locating this in your center console is that you'll want to measure twice and cut once when locating it as there is a lot going on beneath that area in the console - duct work, bracing, etc.
Love the end result and functionality. Definitely a mod I am glad I did.
Rear cargo area at the OEM inverter. You can see the interface harness looks seamless:
    IMG_2851.jpg
This is a pic of the extension harness plugging into the outlet from below. Ignore the bright blue wire - that is a remote wire for a sub amp.

I had the chance to buy one 20 years ago and regretted ever since that I never did. This one came up on my local FB marketplace and it was in really good shape considering it's 31 years old. Tires are rotted and need replacing but my plan is to swap the axle so the hub matches the 4R and mount some 4R wheels with tire size that matches the truck.

Added some LASFIT floor mats. Someone posted a discount code of "VIP2" and took about 20% off their price. They normal were $150. LASFIT already had them discounted to $109. Then 20% beyond that was $88 plus Mississippi sales tax (and free shipping). So a win in my book.

They are $159.99 originally and were marked down $50.

When I was making the video I was genuinely surprised how perfectly they fit. I wasn't expecting a 3rd party product fit like that.

From the man himself. Thanks for the discount code. I was honestly surprised at how well they fit. Not that it's some overly hard "install." Now if all our mods could be so simple.

That in black would be great. Any parts list or write-up on this project? I know I've seen this done before, but didn't pursue it then...

Maintenance week... Falken A/T3W SL tires, brakes, turned rotors, oil, coolant, front diff, rear diff, transfer case, transmission (partial). Doing the power steering next. I have a 2013 Trail with only 43K miles (it's my "outdoors" vehicle), so I figured some of these are overdue, and I should start working my way down the list.

I'm at my wit's end with Homelink on my '19. I have been off and on trying to program it for almost 2 years, I bet I have 3 hours in finger fucking the buttons and climbing ladders to play with the garage opener and watching Youtube videos and doing Google searches. For whatever reason I wasted another hour this morning trying to figure it out. It absolutely will not program to my Liftmaster, although the exact same Homelink setup in my wife's Subaru programmed to the same doors just fine in like 3 seconds.

Anyway, in an effort to have a stealth garage door opener, this morning I did this:

Disassembled the opener, set the circuit board into a piece of cardboard, and concealed the assembly under the 'Transfer case shifting' placard.

I would have liked to build a remote switch to install in one of the OEM switch blanks but my soldering skills suck.
