I installed my XenonDepot Philips 4300K HID low-beam set today. Very easy to do, especially with the various how-to's posted here and elsewhere on the Internet.

I took my time and reduced the length of the ground lead on both the driver and passenger side so that there wouldn't be a lot of slack left bundled up, and also shortened the power lead on the driver side for the same reason. The power lead from the passenger side was just the right length to run across the top of the radiator support, zip-tied out of the way of anything that could pinch, cut or otherwise harm it. It's invisible now beneath the plastic radiator shroud.

I also received my PowerTrays tray for the Switch Pros 9100 and set it off to the side. The SP-9100 will get added to things in another month or two after I order an SSO low-profile bumper / winch mount. I've got a bunch of Baja Designs and Rigid LED light pods and bars from past projects that I will be reusing for that.

All in all, a good day out in the garage with the 4Runner.

If you want to just change the look of them a little you could go with the vinyl addition here. I'm quite happy with the way it changed the look.

FINALLY got my grill and valance coated with bed-liner!
    BeforeAfterBedLinerGrill.jpg
The original owner used dip to coat em...did not stand up to basic road wear so had to get something more durable and lasting...bed-liner should do the trick!!

Did the steps at the same time! They were juuuust beginning to show signs of rusting.

    BeforeAfterBedLinerSteps.jpg

Both came out far better than I expected!! SOOOOOOOOO happy I went with the bed-liner option instead of my original plan to try and have the grill wrapped. This is gunna last and is uber durable!

Replaced the rear bumper's silver trim with the solid black trim. Easy task.

I'll be pulling the front facia off next week to install an LED bar that I had lying around and some Baja Designs squadrons that came off of my last vehicle. I'll pull the silver trim off of that bumper and spray it with some black bed-liner to tide me over until I order an SSO slimline bumper and winch in another month or two.

Have pretty much decided to go with a Kings suspension lift and some Nitto Ridge Grappler tires soon as well. I've got a pile of parts to install already. Just trying to do them in a logical order so that I'm only tearing certain things apart once.

That’s soooo awesome! I love Japan. It’s amazing to see these full size vehicles in Japan, you don’t see many that’s for sure.

I would say vehicles in Japan are about 20% smaller than US car market. Mostly Toyota and van models

Canvas Seat Backs! Just to protect the cargo area. Already have a few scratches on the plastic.

They fit “ok” and acceptable but I’m surprised they aren’t more precise. I guess there needs to be a bit of play.

I put the Subaru tweeters in, wow what difference with that little change. Also put the unifilter filter on the air pump. Put water proof grease around the where the filter attached, love my 4.

Can't post pics at this time as there is no tapatalk support here.....sorry.

I spent Saturday and Sunday working on our '18 TRD ORP. Installed a set of Baja Designs Squadron amber lights that I had left over from a previous project in the factory fog position. I'm very happy with how that turned out. I opted not to use the clear Squadrons I had and will probably use those for ditch lights later.

I also used some Krylon spray bed liner to black out the silver front fascia trim while I had the bumper cover off. It looks good from a distance but I am overall not pleased with how it looks up close. BUT... it is temporary until my SSO Slimline bumper arrives, so it will suffice for now.

I also installed and then removed the Rago Fabrication "Behind the Grille" light bar brackets with top-bar. I realized while doing it that I wouldn't be able to use any of it with my SSO bumper since you remove the factory bash bar and that's where Rago kit goes.

Oh well. It's up for sale in the Classifieds here if anyone wants to save some money. Never really used. Just installed and then immediately removed, all within about 30 minutes.

Suspension lift and some respectable tires are coming soon.

I used some (L) bracelets, slotted angel steel to mount on the bumper over the winch in my sso.
I did that as a temporary mount until I fabd up some brackets. it's been 1yr now been extra busy. there are two threaded holes in the bumper if I remember correct they're 8mm holds the L in place. just an idea

It lifts the front about .8" and the rear stays at the same height. These kits are pretty much impossible to find at this point though unless someone has one and wants to sell it.

Sure did, front went up about an inch over stock ORP height. It also really stiffened it up which is nice and the main reason I made the change. If you want more, get some 1/2” spacers for the front and Wheelers T13’s for the rear. Should give you a nice 2/1 lift.

Cool. I've got a set for my Tacoma from when they went on sale but I never installed them. In limbo at the moment.

It will not lift your Tacoma like it does the 4R I believe you'll sit at the same height. Tacoma uses a higher spring rate coil than the 4R does to the best of my knowledge. The rear shocks will also not fit without bushing modifications. Still well worth the upgrade in ride quality though.
