Installed Cornfed 1.5”/1” TRD Pro lift kit
Spidertrax 1.25” spacers on 275/70/17 Wildpeaks.
Had to push driver side fender liner forward by 1/2” and front bumper sanded down about 1/8” on each side (already had Pro Cut from Port), and removed front mud flaps.

Apex Overland recovery points installed. I also figured since I was working in that area already I'd go ahead and finally drop the TRD skid to apply anti-seize to the bolts.

I took these photos about a month ago. When changing my filter with the Wix. The only noticeable difference I could see was the Wix has a mesh screen and the Denso Oem filter seems to have the pleats on the side of the filter open in comparison to the Wix. The pre filter seemed to be comparable if I remember correctly. Price difference was only about $6.00 Wix from Amazon and Denso from Bam. (Wix orange, Denso black) also when I checked McGeorge Toyota and Olathe, both were out of stock on the Denso filters.

Dropped the blower motor to clear out leaf debris that had been making an annoying rustling sound. Couldn't get to the debris through the cabin filter opening. All quiet now.

Awesome! Thanks for the comparison pics.

Looks like I'm switching to Wix or Purolator One on my next air filter change.

Was gonna start to buy the materials for the wifey air up/down all tires at once…anyone here do this? Follow “sponseredbywifey” design? Your own personal?

[I know how it all works but was curious if anyone came across any “wish I did this instead….” moments plus didn’t wanna start another thread]

I have it installed with some tweaks. I mounted my compressor on the passenger side on a MORE mount since I don't plan to run a auxiliary battery (for now), and I'm using a C4 accessories mount that doesn't obstruct the fuse box and relays like the Rago mount does (with the manifold mount). I also installed ARB's pressure control system because I didn't like the relief valve popping at 40 psi and the compressor constantly running. I can set my limits for airing up/down on the app and it'll cut off the compressor automatically while I effortlessly complain about something else

Sent an email to the general manager at the local dealership about never being a customer there again. Long story short: They lied about my coils rubbing and causing an annoying squeak. Turned out to be my hood latch. Quoted me $2000 and needing to go back to factory coils. Thank goodness I said "no thank you." But can't help feeling completely duped by them. I wonder who else they have lied to and got the payout for thier lies. My rig looks absolutely fantastic underneath...zero rubbing at all. Lesson learned.

...Oh, and I replaced my side mirror turn signals with blacked out sequential ones. :D

    thx !

actually they are plastic wheel cover that were on the runner when we purchased it used from Toyota dealer- - they wrap around wheels TIGHT- I’m afraid I will break them - therefore they have never been off - I do have a set of taco wheels that I need to repair / paint so I can eventually put on runner

Happens all the time unfortunately. A lady I know with an Infiniti had a rattle in her exhaust and was quoted $2K to replace a bad cat. I asked to take a look and it turned out to be a loose heat shield. For me, new car dealers are good for oil changes and warranty work but nothing more.

Well, my warranty is no longer. I'm going to start doing my own oil changes for now on. I've always wanted to be more self-sufficient in working on my rig so why not start now? If I run into anything major I have people whom I can rely on to help me. I simply do not tolerate liars. No time for that! Or money lol.

That's the smart way to do it. I stick with my dealer for oil changes because they have done a good job so far and don't charge that much. Little repairs I can do myself and I am still under warranty for the other stuff. Definitely helps to learn about your vehicle and these aren't the most complicated things to work on.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I have seen those covers and had similar ones on a Jeep. They do fit very tightly but you can carefully remove them. Either way, the black looks much better. Enjoy your Runner!

With this exhaust set up I have eliminated all the stench from the exhaust. Have been experimenting with back window in all positions. Yes, could take a hit crawling (so can the spare and so can the hitch) but no rotten egg stench. For me it's worth it. PXL_20220608_152045084~2.jpg
