Got a killer deal on this diode dynamics light bar. Didn’t know where to put it and wasn’t going to pay $100 bucks for “stealth mount brackets”

rigged it up with stock mounts no problem

While distracted, backed up into an offroad cliff wall on a single-vehicle lane police were blocking during a vehicle recovery, and damaged the rear door handle, quarter panel, and taillight housing on the passenger side. Today, thinking a simple push from inside would pop the quarter panel back outward, I disassembled the built and began pushing from inside outward, not knowing what I was doing. While not a great result better than it was. While the damage is not desired not too disappointing as this type of damage was expected when the vehicle was purchased for Overlanding first and a daily drive second. That aside, disassembling the built took the longest, way too long, not to mention now it all has to go back for the third time after repairs to the vehicle. On the positive side, putting it back together provides the opportunity for a few tweaks to the built. Simpler, fingers crossed, was the taillight replacement (https://www.uniquestyleracingstore....ade-to-2014-style-tail-lights-tlty4run10leds2). While way at the bottom, these chrome canceling lights were on the to-do list thus the opportunity to replacement due to the damage was justifiable. Nonetheless, they look better, and the added reverse light upgrade is a noticeable improvement as well. Later, when time allows, finish the DIY bodywork with some touch-up paint, I guess.

I had a YotaWerx tune flashed today (@mZiggy). I only have about 60 highway miles on it, so I'll have to update my experience later. It already feels like an improvement.

Did you happen to try a suction cup? I've gotten some pretty good size dents out of other vehicles using a heavy duty suction cup (think windshield replacement or glass handling) and warming up the panel to help the paint keep from cracking. Put the suction cup on there and pull it out! I hope I don't ever have to pull apart the interior like that, what a pain!

I watched a dozen YouTube videos and did consider using a suction cup. However, I already had it in my brain to take the inside apart knowing taking it apart and pushing would be the most time-consuming but the least expensive and the opportunity to make a few needed fixes and tweaks. That said, I did a simple single search at AutoZone for a suction or DIY dent repair kit and this one (https://www.autozone.com/sandpaper-...-puller/p/oemtools-dent-puller-set/265148_0_0) that came up was too convoluted for what I had decided would be satisfactory, not to mention, if it didn't work well it was $170 down the drain. Anyhow, mostly satisfied with the outcome and likely not the first trail damage going down the road, pun intended. I also put heat on it just to see if could improve the outcome. But thought of it after the fact. Not a mechanical person. But since took on this build I have learned to appreciate mechanics more than ever. Thanks.

YES! What a pain! But when taking it apart did find additional things, aside those already aware of, that would benefit from reassembling them in a better manner.

Dang super bummed we couldn’t make it. My young kids would have had fun with your kiddos. The off-roading looks fun. But man now I am thinking I need some side hoops to save my body. Would be nice to have the detachable hoops.

Well this weekend turned out to be a VERY expensive adventure. Was a visiting a friend in Arkansas on Friday. Not much in that town, but there was a Mexican place about a 10 min drive away up the road. Drove up there, picked up the food, and on the way back a random rock SHATTERED the sunroof.

A small video (it's 26 seconds long but you can def hear the "pop" of the glass).

Man that is a bummer. Sorry to hear. This is another good reason for a full roof rack. Just saying. :)

Yea it would have been fun , this place is huge we haven’t even touched a quarter of it, there’s stuff here that would kill our rigs but also enough to have fun for a couple weeks straight at least. If you can weld have a shop bend you some hoops or just have a shop do it all, shouldn’t cost much. Mine only stick out about 4 inches but I’m glad I put them on cause it was in a major bind in that one v ditch, also bump out sliders are the only way to go, I’ve been in multiple spots where they have saved some good body damage. Had a few spots where I had to get out and winch today, it’s also worth it’s weight in gold.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
It looks great, Nautical Blue really pops when it's clean. Mine is a mess right now and needs a good wash as well, your post is good incentive. I see you also painted your wheels black, they look so much better, don't they?

Drove to NY from NC, 640 miles. I haven't reset the mileage since I drove down there last January. When I got to NC back then I had gotten just over 20MPG full highway with the truck loaded up pretty full. Daily driving around down there it went down to 17.5 which is average for me. After the trip back it now reads 18.6. When I travel I always use cruise control and it's usually 10 over the speed limit so at times I was doing 80. Not great mileage speed in our trucks! With the price of gas now I might have to ease up on the skinny pedal a bit lol!

RCI Aluminum skids installed today. Aside from some issues with the crossmember for the T-Case skid the install was smooth and simple.

I really like the TRD integration plate as well. It matched up quite nicely.

Nice. I like that they are low key and very functional and slightly elevated so you can actually wash and wax under them as needed. I really like them, super happy with them.
