Most van builds (others) have garages in the back. While there is no room for a garage in the 4Runner, I thought to build an attic to store lite things, like clothes, an extra sleeping bag, chips, crackers, etc. However, at the cost of headroom. Not sure it's a good trade but will find out during the upcoming AZBDR (Page, AZ to Kingman, AZ via Las Vegas, NV ~800 miles) trip next week.

I’ve had a lotim or lotom brand light from Amazon on my 5th wheel for 5years now (we have lived it in full time since) and it’s been great, pick up motion be it a person or animal from 40’ away and is super bright. Worth every penny

Can't find your mentioned brand light, but 5yrs is great longevity. This one I posted from Home Depot caught my attention because the shape allows it to be placed just about anywhere without securing it permanently, and small enough it can be placed on the dashboard to recharge until needed again. Also, considering one of these trail cameras (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WDJ3GDF/?coliid=I2QCN16ZZAXWUV&colid=Z11YG6QQH2FD&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) that allows one to view live what is going on outside via Bluetooth.

Makes ya crazy don't it, mine today was $65 to fill up and I was able to get it for $3.95 gal.

My mod for this month was handing over $1093.00 to my local govt for the privelage of owning my T4R for the year.... Hate when May-june rolls around and that tax is due.

Finished VLEDS conversion on my 2022 Limited

Too many youtube video already covering the process so I'll just post the specific parts number from VLEDS and I personally tested they work

the reason for using a smaller light for puddle light is that it lasts a long time, popping off mirror cover sounds terrible and I'd like to avoid having to replace them.

if you decide to go my route of using V6 extreme lights, I can confirm that for both rear turn signal and reverse light, the screws patterns are the same, just 2 screws opposing sides.

For the all knowing soothsayers here, have a question about Android on the OEM head unit.

I have a 21 ORP. I have a Samsung 22 Ultra. I use a Samsung cable to connect to the data port on the dash, however, I have to say the connection isn't very reliable. Hit a small bump, and it's disconnects, reconnects, and have to select AndroidAuto all over again. To say the least, I'm not very impressed by 4Runners use of the dataport. My 16 Taco had better connection with a 3+2 inch lift with 18 inch off road tires. And so far I haven't done any lift or tires on my 4Runner.

So am I missing something or?

There's your problem right there, you haven't done anything to your 4runner, try the 3+2 lift on your 4runner, if it's still doing it, same size tires as your taco should do it and if that doesn't work try a new cable for your phone.

I use Apple CarPlay and was having similar problems. Found dust was up in my charging port (on my phone). Took none conductive material (low conductive if you are an electronics person I want to be clear) like a toothpick and cleaned out the pocket lint. Worked perfectly after that.

Yep. If you've noticed any looseness on your charging cord, you need to dig all of the lint out of your USB-C port. It should firmly snap into place when working properly. I couldn't get anything out with a toothpick, switched to a staple and got all of this out of there. It was hard packed.

Many with many more to go
Ordered more stuff. The list grows. I had a hospital stay two weeks ago. Couldnt walk for 12 days. Arthritis is a bitch but its coming along better day by day. No getting on the ground for me now. Fortunately I have a friend who gives me a friends and family discount. $60 an hour. Around early June:

Predator style steps but the steps are removable
    Cornfed 1.5" front, 1" rear
Will have wheels decided upon by then - TRD Pro knockoffs vs Rock Trix
    Remount tires
    Reroute exhaust to side exit
Wire in KC A pillar lights
Add Go Pro mount to A pillar bracket
Remove letters, paint TRD Pro skid silver to match valance
    Toyota Pro grill change
    Raptor lights
    30" light bar behind grill
LED headlight and fog bulbs (anything is better than OEM)
Keeping OEM head unit but changing speakers over to Kicker (anything is better than OEM)
    Rago fab phone/tab mount
    MyWyfsRnnr topo hood scoop cover

Besides paint we can knock all of this out in one day except the exhaust which will go to local muffler shop and wheels and tires to Discount for mount and balance.

To complement what you said, I have tried a couple of different charging cables (with same results). But as others have suggested, I will attempt to clean out any dust that might be inside the ports.

I do this with my phone often since I work in a dusty environment. It's never gotten bad enough for the cable to not seat correctly. USB-C seems pretty good. I hated micro USB-B. Easily gunked up and damaged.

In addition to checking the phone’s socket for lint and gunk, check the cable plug. I’ve seen corroded/damaged contacts on the pins of a couple of mine.
