Are these both mobile radios (as opposed to hand helds)?
My initial guess, based on the predication that both are mobile radios, is that the GMRS radio is suffering from front end overload, most likely caused by the antennas being too close together or your GMRS radio has poor front end filtering. Does this happen only with CB 21 and GMRS 19?

You might check the SWR on the CB to see if there is a lot of reflected power (and are you running an amp on the CB?). I'd also look at how both radios are powered and grounded. I power my radios directly from the battery (via a switch-controlled relay).

I will be getting the high clearance armor from TSO here soon. However the Viper cut has proved useful. I was the only one who didn't hit their front bumper in Steel Pass in DV, thanks to my Viper Cut.

Be careful with the Ironman winch controller box. Water got into my controller box and started causing electrical problems. Ironman replaced it under warranty but it would not have been cheap if out of warranty. I wrote a detailed email to them about the problem and with the replacement I took it apart and silicones everything to prevent possible issues.

Don't get me wrong I know its helpful with angles and clearances. Just looks cut and unfinished,

But paired with the right bumper style it looks perfect

With no roof rack, no sliders and a very streamlined bumper that is a very sleek looking 4R! I like it!

Both installed units. Tested against a gmrs handheld same thing. Also tested in another vehicle with cb and gmrs same thing. At this point I’m willing to bet anybody with cb and gmrs on those same channels yields the same result. Swr on cb 1.3 across the band. Swr on gmrs 1 to 1

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
I just did a single drain and fill on my '14 SR5 with 84k... The 5-speed runs about 15°F cooler on the same stretch of roadway at the same speed... The original fluid didn't look too bad and it certainly didn't smell bad.

With my RWD, I changed the differential fluid about a thousand miles ago, that was a much different story than my ATF-WS. The smell was like vomit. My entire garage smelled like vomit. The bucket I used to collect the old fluid smelled like vomit and still does a little. It was awful! An unhappy experience.

I've been keeping an eye out for some synthetic 75W-90 on sale or to get back into stock at Walmart. What I put in there was the one bottle of synthetic I could find paired up with most of four bottles of conventional. I think I'll change it out at 5,000 miles or less if I can find some full synthetic that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg.

Used gear oil is awful smelling!!
I wouldn’t worry about changing it if it were me as long as it’s a 75w90 or 80w90 I’d run it but that’s just me. I think my 4th gen has 2qts of 80w90 conventional and 1qt of 75w90 synthetic in its rear diff right now. No leaks, no shudder, no problem.

Well I used 2 different things. I used silicone caulking on the inside of the control box (you can see me holding it in the first picture on the bad unit). Then I put silicone caulking around the entire rim as there is no rubber gasket or anything. Then I put the black flex seal. The flex seal comes off pretty easily but the silicone caulking is holding pretty well. That is what I would use.

Ditched the old halogen bulbs for some LEDs. Visibility at night is much better. Really beneficial because I leave for work at 530am and hit up backroads before I hit the highway. Day 10 of ownership and still loving my 4R more and more every day.

Glad the leds worked out for you. I'm just running the cheapo h9 bulbs which improved visibility greatly

Put in glove box organizer and mounted APS iBoard 6-inch Aluminum (Black Powder Coated Flat Style) Running Boards. Over-torqued last mounting screw and broke bolt in half. Waiting on replacement. I have a known history of one last turn too many.
