What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

That in itself is becoming the cost of a mod or part lately!

 

Gas prices seem to go up 15-20¢ each day in my area. Just passed a station that's $4.40 today. At that price, it's about $100 to fill the tank from E?

 

Yep. Yesterday I filled it up at $3.99 a gallon (only half full when I filled up). Just drive by the same gas station and it was $4.19. I found a couple that were at $4.09 a gallon. Should have filled up a couple 5 gallon tanks for my lawn mower.

 

That looks awesome. Wouldn’t mind seeing it finished up. Good work! I am hoping to get the front and rear Coastal kits late this summer.

 

Is that hitch that is on the swing out for accessories? (eg: bike mounts, cooking plate, etc)? Didn’t see that in coastal off-road and was thinking it was something you added. Can’t wait to see it in person sometime.

 

Thanks it’s all finished up and painted. Just letting it cure till the weekend. I will say fitment of all the plate for the bumper was perfect. All but the hinges for the swing outs. They recently made a clearance/angle modification to the rear corners on the bumper and didn’t take it into consideration with the hinge so I had to re work the hinge a bit but all in all everything else was cut perfect, wish I had went with there front bumper also

 

Sell your front bumper to someone else and get their front bumper.

 

Yes it’s for accessories so they swing out with the gate. Light stuff only. Just a standard 2” reciever I picked up off Amazon. also welded up a removable hitch that bolts on but I haven’t even painted it cause I won’t use it until I get my trailer built sometime this year anyway

 

At this point it’s not even worth swapping for but, had I thought about it before the c4 front it would have been good

Installed my RCI front skid today. I understand why these are so popular now. Fit and finish was perfect.

 

Nice! Question on the amber filters, how does it look with the led fogs on, from the outside, and in terms of how it lights up the road when driving?

I got the yellow filters, the color seems nice in terms of how it lights up the road, but from the ouside, the yellow turns kinda greenish due to the led light source. Strikes me as a bit tacky, and was thinking of trying amber instead.

Wonder no more, you can get any color match online. I agree, blue pearl is the color I wanted. Waiting for was not an option. That seat would look awesome in blue ppearl. Time to drive around with the rear seat and see what kind of crazy looks I get!

 

This is just the reverse bulbs and turn signal bulbs with there housing? Didn't require any tapping or modifications? Thanks

 

Trying to see if anyone has tried the 265 ridge grapplers on the orp wheels? Would like to know if they rub

 

Their reverse lights require nothing. They plug right into the socket. Most if not all replacement bulbs do not require anything except for turn signal bulbs to avoid hyperflash.

 

Any hyperflash since you went led on the turn signal? Or did you use a special module?

 

What are you guys using for backup camera relocation with a bumper setup? Mounting on swing out, or above rear glass? Anyone use a good kit worth looking into?

 

Their LEDs did not require it because there is a built in resistor.

Someone posted a link for a Natika with a bracket that bolts behind the top license plate bolts. Looks like a decent no drill solution.

Added the driver's side handle. Pretty useful actually. Instructions from the kit owner should be modified a bit. Other than that, a fairly straightforward mod.



Also added some TRD letters to my skid from Tuf Skinz. Surprisingly good quality!
