What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Cleaning her up a bit. Ceramix coating, Vent Shades and Mama Bear requested vinyl.

 

link?? I’m gonna be honest, I’m being lazy and have to sleep before work tonight, but I planned on doing this next weekend while the wheels are off.

 

If you are talking about the parking brake, they don’t hold. No idea why, but they aren’t adjusted correctly from the factory.

I have a Ram mount I screwed to my dash. I drilled 2 holes and use some screws I found in my garage.



Am using my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 cell phone for video.

Hindsight being 20/20 seems Apple phones already have a good video editing software. Samsung really doesn't.

 

What did you use to attach the USB portion of the dongle to the plastic cover?

 

Just a small piece of 3M double sided tape. They supply you with a small zip tie but the tape looks better

Yeah mine was set on the loose side at the factory. By 15,000 miles I wasnt comfortable with relying on it to stop the car in an emergency, or on a steep incline.

The trick is setting it tight, but not too tight so that you are burning brake material from the shoes

 

Mines a 21 and it sucks as well. As in the vehicle rolls forward till it hits the parking pin.

 

Thanks @SYTY. The chrome didnt bother me too much till the sun started to bounce off light in my face. Waiting on the steering wheel emblem overlay.

Have you thought about a steering wheel?

IS_Autogroup Carbon wheel. This is the wheel I installed. I really like it and they've treated me well (I have one in another car as well).

 

How much is it ?

Not bad for a really nice looking steering wheel. Good to know for when the leather covering gets ratty. Is that real carbon? Do have to send your wheel in?

 

Where can I find these? Been sold out on the meso website for a couple months now.

yeah, having it well adjusted is a real safety issue for me. I always use it whenever I get out of vehicle as a matter of habit. In the 4runner, I want to rely on it to hold on a fairly steep by itself. That and the parking pin as a backup.

 

Real carbon. I paid and picked up on the same day (they are in my home town). No need to swap (although you can if you want).

 

I found mine in for sale section. Glad I jumped on them. They look great.

 

Thats where I found mines too. Gotta jump on'em when its available.

 

Is it the same size in diameter ? Able to take measurements ? I like how the bottom is flat which makes it easier for me to get in and not have my thigh hit the steering wheel.

Yes! I was irritated when that would happen especially in slow moving traffic. Thanks MESO for creating the handle covers.
