Started my project on flattening the floor. I’m no craftsman so it’s not pretty as some of my screws didn’t countersink fully, they will be covered. Trying to decide between carpet or a treadmill mat which would be way more comfortable.

I used 1/2” plywood 43”x41”. I didn’t want it to rub on the wheel wells so I left about a 3/8 gap all the way around. I used three 2x4’s cut to 30”. I used two 2x4’s as far outside to wedge against the wheel well so the platform won’t slide around. The 3rd 2x4 is off center to the driver side since that’s the best side for me to sleep so I can stretch out since I have the 40% seat bottom removed for easy entering for my dog. And I leave the 60% side in for the daily drives and long trips for my dog.

I’m planning on making a slide out table. I also need to figure out the best way to anchor it to the stock D rings. I highly doubt this thing would become a projectile since the rear seats lean back and that wedges the platform. If anyone has ideas of simple anchoring options I would appreciate them.

I like the color of the wood as it sort of matches my beige interior. My dog Nick approves.

Installed the squadron sae. Almost wish I wouldn’t have waisted the money and just got the non sae. Not near as bright as my ditch lights, Maby not even as bright as factory.also came with 2diferent bezels? Wtf. $250 dollar lights for ya. Need to shim them up still won’t point down far enough to be (sae) compliant in the c4 bumper. They look good tho

Got rid of some more chrome. I hate that AJT and MESO were told to stop making these, yet China gets to profit. I hate chrome so much that I don’t mind giving them some money. Looks similar or the same as my AJT did on my pro. MESO door handles, MESO start button ring and now Chinese steering wheel emblem all for $60. The remaining chrome on the shifter and ac vents probably won’t get done since a black TRD shift knob is $80-90 and I actually like the size of the one in my SR5P. Let’s see how long this Chinese tape lasts or if I’m the start of their next pandemic.

I was glad when you ended up back in a 4R after selling your Pro...you didn't waste any time modding the SR5, I have to say.

Those are SCS Stealth 6 wheels, look like Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. Probably 285/75r17 or thereabouts.

Picked up my ORP yesterday. Today I put on sealant, removed the skids, WoolWaxed the inside/outside frame, installed TRD skid plate, trail running boards, and AVS hood deflector. All ready for winter!

Yup. Grandtrek AT20's... I remember my Taco came with them and was not impressed driving in the rain. Maybe the more balanced weight of an SUV cab of the 4Runner will be better? :notsure:

Ran 1/4 in air hose from under the hood twin ARB. Custom bracket for quick connect, then 22mm hole trough factory outlet plate, secured all air fittings using top fender shelf as access panel. As for powering the gauge 12 volt power outlet tap did the trick. Super easy.

Which speakers and spacers did you go with? I assume with the stock radio correct? Did the speakers much of a difference? Thanks in advance!

Curious question, I just picked up a 2022 TRD Off Road, and I noticed the TRD skid doesnt fit 4Runners with the KDSS suspension. Which model do you have?

Also for guys with the KDSS suspension set ups, what skid plates are you guys running or recommend?

There is a TRD skid cut mod if you want that route and many after marked skid companies like RCI got KDSS skids.

Mine is non-KDSS. If you aren't aware, there is no access hatch/hole for changing the oil filter cartridge. The skid has to be removed with 4 bolts. Looks cool to me though.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
My 4Runner is almost 99% whole again.

I had previously blown my rear Eibach shocks on a very difficult rock / ledge climb. I put my original OEM rear shocks back in it for a trip around Michigan's Upper Peninsula and was going back & forth with Tire Rack on warranty replacements.

I finally said screw it and just ordered a replacement set of Eibach rear shocks.
Got those installed yesterday along with a set of taller Eibach bump stops. I'm hoping those bump stops will prevent blowing up rear shocks in the future.

Only thing left now is re-installing my transfer case skid plate. My Toyota dealer took it off to service the transmission and 4x4 system. They busted the stick nuts. I had to buy more stick nuts from Shrockworks.

Installed the Diode Dynamic SS3 Max fogs. I had the Pro’s on my Pro. They were good so I decided to try the Max’s. Definitely brighter. They almost overpower the headlights. I like how they aren’t chrome.

Now I’m just waiting for the seat jackers and panel. I also ordered the Weathertech window covers so I can camp in complete darkness. I know I could make them, but they would look like crap and I want a perfect fit.

That’s what I planned on doing. Did you put another D ring under the platform on all 4 corners?

I used two "marine" D-rings (also from Amazon) on each of the back two corners. For the front I drilled holes in the platform, removed the front two OEM D-rings, then put bolts through the platform and screwed them into the holes where the OEM D-rings were mounted. There's a good post on the other forum by Rageandlove (I think) about doing this. You have to be careful with the measurements. The whole platform ends up being very solid. As you can see I covered it with trunk liner. It looks OEM and I leave it in the truck full time.
