What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Not here on the coast, but it’s starting to arrive in mountains and up north. Soon though. Can’t wait!

 

Getting it ready for a winter camping adventure trying to find this abandoned railroad bridge, eternal flame, and one specific waterfall this weekend. Supposed to be 23° at night so should really put a test to our zero bags, rumple blankets and heated blanket. My biggest concern is forgetting to turn the battery warmer on.

Especially with the Patagonia’s - she’s not thrilled about the “ride” of the M/T but she loves the look and the fact that her truck now is bigger then my Tundra

We installed the Start-X remote start, interior LED lights, dog paw print license plate frames and a white TRD badge on the grille to match the white ones on the side of the TRD Sport.

 

Re did our first aid/ trauma kit moved the fire extinguisher, added some power outlets included 3 high powered usb, 1 usb c, 1 12v, and not pictured is a 3 plug 110 for our inverter. Finally got the shore charger relocated from under the hood to the back since the battery is now inside as well. Then re wired our switch panel up front and made those two high powered USB’s always on as well.

the plan for the next day off that we aren’t camping is to get a port put in to run the wires behind the plastic wheel well and into the cubby

 

Those Lasfit fog lights have good output. You should installed them on the 2021 w/OEM LED headlights. I’d like to see how they look.

It'll go on the pile of crap I have for it. Apparently due to arrive Dec 7-12.

 

Got it dirty. Delivery last Friday and tint installed Saturday. + Hikeit and fog tint

 

It was pretty easy to take off the hood scoop. Took it off to wrap in black to cut the glare. There are four 10mm (I think) nuts under the hood and an orange clip in the middle. There’s also a couple blue clips that I broke, but you don’t really need them.

 

Added a yakima doublehaul fly rod vault to my rig, only installed half of it since full length looks a little ridiculous lol
Ordered Eibach Pro Coilovers 2.0, rear springs and shocks for a modest lift I plan to do soon.

 

Got rid of a little bit more chrome. I installed the MESO black push start button ring. I also have the MESO door handle covers.

 

I was driving down the parking structure of my work and a gate had come down by a foot or so and hit my roof rack and antenae on my 1 month old ORP. So now I have to file a claim after getting an invoice for parts and labor. Let's see how long that takes. Maybe I can put that money towards my lift. Fingers Crossed

 

Received and installed my Canvasback Liner

 

Or get a roof rack and prevent that destruction from happening in the future.

 

If it is just the roof rack and antenna, why not skip the claim and put it towards an aftermarket roof rack?

Installed a garage door opener button and a passenger eject button. The eject button doesn’t actually do anything but my daughter thinks it does.

 

That is the plan. I get a quote. Company pays me what it says on invoice. Aftermarket Roof rack! Or that's what I'm hoping for

 

Where did you get the liner? How do you like it? Is it water resistant? Looks good!

The Off Road has the hill control and mode dials up there.

@Freezerdoctor Is there a kit for the garage door opener?

 

If he doesn’t have heated seat controls there where he added those buttons he probably doesn’t have the 4WD assist features. There’a a sunglasses holder up there instead I believe.

 

What year and is the OR different than the ORP? I have three buttons labeled 1, 2, 3 above the A Trac and Dif Locker. ORP doesn't have a sunglass holder there, does the OR?
