I don’t see any mention of “political” speech in the Terms of Service.
    https://www.4runners.com/help/terms

But you’re supposed to agree to
“… not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content…”

Also, in these forums there really is no freedom of speech. It’s a private business with the freedom to set its own rules. In fact:
“…We reserve the rights to remove or modify any Content submitted for any reason without explanation.”

Supposed to be civil and maybe helpful on the forum. Post whatever you will, and accept any consequences, let your conscience be your guide.

However things may seem to suck at times, we have it pretty damn good here.
    Happy Independence Day! :oldglory:

If you question it, it’s prob political. It’s in the code of conduct. t
This is a privately owned forum, meaning thr 1st amendment does not apply here. Every time someone speaks potlucks, it goes down hill- quickly. There are forums that allow political talk, but not here or any of our forums for good reason.

“So long as they (the Proles) continued to work and breed, their other activities were without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they had reverted to a style of life that appeared to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern...Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult.”

We have multiple gun threads on this forum. This post would be best stuck in one of them instead of here.
    https://www.4runners.com/threads/gun-bs-thread.723/

Now if you want to post a pic of your gun and your 4Runner go for it. Example here's my way of transporting one of my AR15's in my 4Runner:

I got banned for a few days on TW for "politics". I posted a picture of an ex-political person in a completely non-political context. The picture was up for a day until sometime quoted my picture with a blatantly policial meme. I got banned for it :notsure:

The gun thread is "ghosted" it doesn't show up on the main page. My question wasn't merely about guns, rather what is acceptable here & what isn't. "If you think it is political, it is"... very muddy water.
Again, the used car market is political. The lumber prices are political. Everything can be seen from a political standpoint if you try.
I digress as I would like to remain here (even without my freedom of speech).
    Ryan
Edit- you cannot even post more than one picture of a gun. What?

It will work with a soft case too. Seats will lock down as long as it's just a rifle (pistol in my pic) and a soft case. If you have mags on the side of your soft case the seats wont lock down.

You can do a quick search on it, post to it, and bring it back up. Or start a new thread in the Off Topic Forum.
I'm all for gun ownership, 2A, CCW, EBR's etc. but I don't understand why you feel the need to post about that here in this thread?

Rebuilt the fog light wire harness today for my 21 ORP. Yesterday I used my winch to pull a couple bushes out from in from of my house that I have always hated. When I was rewinding the winch I was watching to make sure it went back evenly and noticed that the fog light harness didn't stay secured when I installed my slimline bumper and it was all wrapped up in the winch line. Thankfully I've been a tire changer/oil change specialist at Walmart for 25 years (right @08TXRunner) and was able to turn the three piece harness back into a one piece. Even was able to depin one of connectors easily enough.

Didn't get a pic, but I got to work on my tire plugging skills. Kayla got good 3 inch L shaped cut plus a puncture on the sidewall of one of her tires. I used 3 plugs on the large cut and 1 plug on the small puncture.

Sometimes when you are close, one radio overloads the other. It's called "front end overloading". Move a block or so away and try it. Also check all connections and check the voltage to the CB. (Also check CB controls to make sure both radios are on the same channel, same mode)

This week I added Cali Raised Trail rock sliders, 2013 Trail stock roof rack, and MaxiTrac awning. The awning was only $100 and quality is better than I expected…for only $100. We’ll see how it holds up. Just a placeholder until I get a better one.

This is what I didn't do to my 4Runner.

    I ordered this from Amazon:
MR CARTOOL M60 Car Inclinometer Digital GPS HUD Pitch Angle Slope Meter MPH Speedometer with Compass for Off-Road SUV Vehicles

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09362H3QS?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

It looks nice and bright in the photo and has a lot of features, BUT, in actual use the display is not readable in bright light. It's fine at night and at dusk, but just not bright enough for daylight.

The setup is also not very intuitive and the documentation very sparse.

    Don't waste your money!

    All of them.
Got my baseplate installed for my new drawer setup going to be a cabinet style with the snomaster on one side and three drawers on the other. The cabinets will be able to be taken out easily with 8 rivnuts holding them to the base so that way if I need space I can quickly pull them out. The base plate is held in with 4 grade 5 (couldn’t find full thread grade 8 locally) 3/8’s bolts with 4”x4” 1/4 aluminum plates on the underside of the 4Runner. The front two are through the factory rivnuts for the slide out tray. Even with lumber prices the way they are I have 50.00 in the base plate including wood, hardware, and carpet (the aluminum plates were free since I had a ton of scrap out in our utility shed. We made the baseplate out of 3/4 Baltic birch. The dimensions are 33 3/4” x 41 1/4” AFBFAB73-7039-427E-BC2A-2FAEEC8FAB3A.jpg

Looks great. Love my caliraised sliders too, the angled version makes them look low profile.

Also, loving the awning. It’s cool to see you went full roof length on a stock roof rack. Would you mind taking pictures of how you mounted it up, and maybe some thoughts on how it does at highway speeds? Im considering a full lenth awning myself on a stock roof rack
