Thanks man The rack itself was super easy and if I had another body helping the light bar wouldn't have been bad or three hands and 6' long arms LOL. It was just getting it mounted and aimed correctly that took some time.

those don't look bad at all. i thought they would have looked more bulky since they were an overlay.

    All of them.
Any suggestions on a stop gap for here? While I have been trying to come up with the fairing idea (can order the front runner one) I decided to push the front bar back and re attach it. Best thing about front runner is how adjustable it can be. I noticed the wind noise was drastically reduced to a low whistle and howl vs sounding like a Boeng 747 taking off on my roof when I open the sunroof. I’m wondering if I could put something between the light and the roof and this would solve basically 90% of the noise 47648F16-90CD-4CD5-B523-9022106CD5A5.jpg

and yes i plan on cutting the excess rails to make them fit more or buying the shorter rails from front runner.

Yes, they are Michelin Defenders. 3” lift in the front and 2” lift in the rear. I also replaced the front upper control arms. There is absolutely no rub at all. I did not have to cut/trim/modify the bumper, fender liner, or mudguards.

Can you move that front bar (sorry not familiar with your rack) back so it's not sitting directly above the light bar? If I had to guess that's probably generating most of the noise you are getting but since someone suggested that my 25 years in aviation is a joke and I probably do oil changes and tires at Walmart (do I have that right @08TXRunner) I probably don't know the first thing about aerodynamics.

Just cruising this thread that I haven't looked at in months and saw this. I did not know these were a thing! This is awesome, I'll have to order these. I put my sliders on last summer, but could not clean all the bolt holes because I couldn't get the tap & handle in place to access some of them. Looks like these will work perfectly, I'll have to order them. Thanks for posting!

I wonder if TRD Pro rack has good amount of accessory mounting options? Like hi-lift jack, traction board mounts, gas carry options (Not DIY solutions)? The load capacity is pretty low too.

As you suggest I guess going to a good after market rack might be a better option.

They worked ok, designed for aluminum. They lasted long enough to do my slider install, but are shot now. On the plus side, they are to soft to damage the existing threads.

The "cigarette lighter" isn't the best source for power for your CB. There's a good chance other electronics will add noise to the DC. Better to power directly from the battery.

Ah ok, I followed this DIY below. PM me if you need help or have questions. It's pretty straight forward. Hardest part is popping it off from the main tab in the middle and being careful not to scratch any of your rear door while doing it. I highly recommend masking a lot of your rear door with blue tape.

The CB seems to have been working fine, with no noise until recently. I was out with a buddy and he could not hear me. I could hear him clearly, but all he could hear was a whale call (seriously, it sounded like a whale song). The pitch of the sound, oddly, would change depending on the position of my mic, or how far I I stretched the coiled lead. We were within tens of feet of each other, so it wasnt a range thing.

Any ideas in what it could be? Bad antenna? Interference from the cig lighter power source? (Although I heard him loud and clear).

    Any thoughts appreciated.

The light bar is attached to the front bar. I did cut a pool noodle in half and put in between the rack and light bar, and light bar and roof. Zero noise. So now to figure out a more permanent solution.

Yeah I was worried about that as well and it really doesn't add much bulk nor look weird and these ones I got from runnin4tacos are cheaper and better quality than the OEM ones.

I ordered and installed a Taco Vinyl Pro Grille..

let me start off with the good. I ordered it, and it was shipped in 2 days, and received it in 3.

Now for the install and issues.Received it and noticed that the cut out for the TSS was not done. I looked at my receipt in the box and it stated I had ordered a 20-21 kit. Instead of sending it back I made a template, measured and cut it myself. D0CBCFEE-D591-4193-982F-A09366D3E317.jpgI measured multiple times and cut once.

Once pulling the front fascia apart( a bit nerve racking) everything popped into place. I had to go purchase more screws (4x#8 1-1/2 inch stainless) to complete the connection of the radiator mount.

putting the new pieces back on we’re not horrible.. I did have to shave off a little off of the top of the pro grille itself to allow for the upper portion of the grill to clip in. Once getting everything clipped back into place the 10mm bolt was a bit off. Causing the whole upper portion to bow out ( looked like trash)..

Edit.. I went back and rewatched the install video. The radiator mounting bracket does not go back on in the 20-21 kits. That’s on me!

I’m not hating on a small company that’s producing these add on’s, but I would not buy from them again!

    final product!0255A686-D753-44E3-934A-5667AEB23BE3.jpg

I installed the Pedal Commander. I’m torn about how I feel about it. The PC makes the throttle more responsive but in all reality, the pedal response really isn’t too bad on my ‘21 TRD Pro.

What setting are you using? I thought it did a great job then read a better description on the modes and changed the settings and it gave me the feel/response I was looking for

. Thanks mine isn’t a whistle it’s a full out roar and the only way I’ve been able to silence it is to put the full fairing on. I picked up some 1/8 aluminum 50/52 last night and and had it cut 8x43 and tonight I’m going to shape it fit across the roof line and get it attached once I verify it works My wife is going to wrap it for me and then it will be good to go until the new rack comes in and I sell the front runner

I did the led interior light upgrade yesterday
I think everyone should do it! It’s fantastic! And a cheap mod.
I watched a Wanderlost you tube video for install tips and it was super helpful, I love those guys.

I had it on Sport +3. I might try the Speed Booster. The issue with the PC is the there still was a delay when I press Ed the pedal down half way. I want that impressed.

Did you have your headlights on? It is only lit when you have your headlights on. It is not bright but a LED.
