Thanks!! I will check them out! How about for low beams & Fog lights? These stock ones are the worst! Might as well have candles in the head lights!!

Xenon Depot HID's for the low beams. Morimoto XB's for the fogs.

I'm using Xenon Depot's Xtreme 4300k HID kit for low beams. No complaints yet. They also have low/high beam LED kits as well.

As for fogs, I prefer Baja Designs Squadron Sports in either driving combo or wide cornering lenses. Fog pocket kit as well. They're pricey, but worth it.

I guess I should start being more active here since I did find my way back into a 4Runner sometime last May...

Just threw in a OME suspension yesterday.

Also threw this together around Christmas time for the rear cargo area.

Looks good. Why did you unbolt the whole control arm though?

Only way to get the coilover in. Unless there’s another way I don’t know of. It wasn’t too difficult to get the UCA off, just pull the battery and one bracket on the drivers side then the air box on the passenger side and move the power steering resi out of the way

I could have undone the ball joint too but didn’t feel like messing with it

2 bolts on the lower ball joint or 1 nut and pop the upper ball joint. 5 minutes either way, much easier than removing the whole control arm. Nothing wrong with what you did, just more work and time than was required.

I’ll have to keep that in mind next time. I’ve never popped the ball joint before and didn’t even think of it.

Lower ball joint is held in by 2 bolts. Take the bolts out and it comes apart, no hammer or anything needed to pop it. That's how I did my lift on my 2016 4R and 2016 Tacoma

After having my '18 TRD OR for about 3 months now I decided I really missed the parking sensors I had on my '16 Tacoma TRD OR. Why only the Limited 4Runner has them is beyond me. Some research and visits to local accessory outfitters led me to a conclusion. It is an expensive mod to retrofit with sensors, the brain, and video/audio enhancements. Some of the kits are cheap enough (under $100) but the bumper pulling necessity to install sensors was a bit much for me to wrap my head around, (anywhere from $400-$600 depending on shop) especially on the TRD OR which has the extra valence piece in the rear which would make sensor placement awkward. I explored pulling the bumper myself which turns it is not too awfully involved. But then there's that damned valence right where two sensors would mount. I imagine the SR5 would be a bit easier without that piece. So I'm venturing out with a wireless hitch mounted unit made by Echo Master. It's called a Hitchscan, Model EM-00-03000. It's been around for a while and is endorsed by Ford (sold in their dealerships for non-sensor equipped trucks). I have one from Amazon on the way for $200. It mounts into the hitch receiver, connects to the trailer plug and wirelessly sends the sonar signal from 3 sensors to a unit mounted into the lighter outlet. It has a color coded LED signal along with the audio warning. I will update on receipt as to how it functions. Reviews are mostly positive. I'll try it to form my own opinion. There are other options out there like license frame units but I opted for this unit first. Can always return it if not happy. No holes to drill and live with either.

Installed the Warn bumper on my 4runner yesterday, also a smittybilt winch. I like how it looks, is low profile and works with my front grill light bar.
These warn bumpers are new, just started shipping a couple weeks ago, ordered mine in December. I am sure their lead time wont be so bad now.

Can you tell me a little more about your cargo shelves? Did you make them, or buy them from somewhere? Looks good!

That looks good. It's on my eventual to do list. Does it really weigh under 100lbs?
