Interested in how you are liking the tune. Been patiently waiting for someone to come up with a tune.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Like Rahm Emanuel said "Never let a good crisis go to waste". What a scumbag he is but now some companies have jumped on that band wagon.

Well it’s one my wife developed since the 4R is hers. But the pedal feel is much better than stock and it moves much better. These things don’t need as much sensitivity when compared to the Tacoma, no 6th gear means you guys don’t gear search as much.

Overall, it’s great. Made a third version with a blend of her preferred settings and mine. Impressive.

If guys on here have VF Tune and can read their ECU ID, I’ll make you a tester file for it. Downside is that we only have 4 available ECUs to make edits for at this time

To be fair, governments are paying people better to stay home and not work.

I think a lot of companies are manufacturing less to drive up the costs. Just plain wrong

Won’t be doing anything until these lead times shorten up.

    currently waiting on:
    Kings 2.5 front and rear
    Icon UCAs
    OME rear spring
    Trd pro grille
    Blacked out overlays
    Diff drop kit
Deaver stage 2 leafs for the taco

Kinda wish some of these companies were based out of Florida where Covid doesn’t exist...

Sorry, wasn't talking about your post. Edited my post to reflect the comments I was referring to.

The reality is Covid has caused unprecedented supply chain delays. At the same time we have unprecedented demand. Perfect storm.

Oh ok. Yea I get it that Covid messed up a lot. I can’t speak to the companies motives about shutting down. Whether that’s bc of their state’s legislation or what. Just seems crazy that I'm being told over a year lead time from some companies. Others don’t give a lead time till you check out.

I understand that their is wait time. I get that. It’s the non upfront and honest ones that bug me. Total Automotive performance actually contacted me about their lead times before the transaction was complete. Companies like that are the ones I’ll continue my service with. I’m not gonna reference the other ones who doesn’t list lead times and waits for the customers 3 weeks later to contact and tell them “ oh yea, you know how it said in stock when you checked out. Well it’s not sorry”. I’m sure people already know who they are.

    Rant complete

Received my Toytec rear shocks yesterday, so right at 30 day mark. Waiting on JBA UCAs and at the 31 day mark today. Their web site says up to 35 days to ship so wait and see.
To be honest, the entire supply chain on consumer goods was disrupted big time. Might be two years or more to get thing moving briskly again.

Today is the day for the 4Runner to get the upgrades that it has been waiting for over 3 months to get…

    Before:

    CE8D183F-9040-4E0C-81BC-94B3E8C61EF1.jpg

now I know that this question might come up (granted it is clear in the last picture).

I started off with 265/70/17 and went to 285/75/17

I already have a BMC done and as I was backing up today I rubbed a little plastic (nothing major). I can polish that off. Makes me wonder what else I will run into but so far so good. Only way to find out is hit some trails and see what rubs.

I really like them. Now I am sitting a total of 4” taller over stock height and it feels like it as well.

Wheels are Relation race wheels with the -12mm offset. Running the RR7-H.

Looks great! Do you mind posting some more pics? Looking to go with the same wheel but deciding between -12 and -25 offset.

I did it quite awhile ago on my 17 ORP. I got tired of trying to see my dash when I had put my lights on when it was raining in the daylight. This solved the problem. Not sure where I got the part ebay or Amazon but the part was less than $10. Toyota wants a lot of $ for a photocell. BTW it works well.

Contacted RCI regarding my missing mounting hardware for the T-case skid. However, while in town today I hunted high and low for a 7/16x1 Carriage bolt in order to get it installed today...and struck out at every store I went to or called. :annoyed:

At least I managed to get my Gas tank skid installed as well as a set of Cupholder hero liners.PXL_20210605_225229225.jpg PXL_20210605_201239674.jpg

Besides trimming, your best chance at eliminating the rub is pushing your caster further forward (if you can).

    Is it already maxed out?

The UCA has a built in 4 degree caster. Thank you for the heads up though. I don’t think I can go much forward. Maybe ever so slightly. Honestly though it is plastic rubbing and nothing else (yet).

You might be able to go up to 5 degrees with 4 degrees built in to the UCA, but I'm not sure when it comes to those specific arms.

But trimming plastic is pretty easy too.
