What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I made an attic for the cargo area out of some bits I had lying around.

I had a bungee net that's meant for motos, I removed the 2 un needed hooks, and I replaced the clothes hooks in the back with a couple cable clamps using the factory bolts and voila!
I wouldn't keep anything up there that would hurt to get hit in the back of the head by, but it seems perfect for soft stuff that's in the way or that I don't want my dog walking on.

 

Boy!! I felt good about getting my jack mounts on my roof basket and getting the jack up there. I also put black overlays on the Toyota emblems, SR5 lettering and 4Runner lettering. Got new tires (Wranglers) this week. Try to mount the shovel on the basket also this week.

Next week, brush guard and lights go on.

 

That shifter is nice.

Way better than those dildo looking ones everyone gets.

 

Installed the wife and I's first version of a 4Runner tune.

Next up is an attic net 100%

 

Front window tint, bronze overlay on black badging, and S&B CAI. Now just waiting on the C4 Lo pro to get the last bit done for this year.

I think my favorite part of these photos is the first and last and how they show the significant difference lighting plays on the color appearance. More gray or more green.. either way - love it.

Got to test drive the Sprint Boost today. The pedal responsiveness was much more than I expected.

Very pleased with my Canvasback bench seat cover. When I ordered it, I didn't know they also offered head rest covers for the bench seat so ordered those today.

Received some reading material today and I'm currently thinking of picking up the Badland Apex 12k Winch...and surprising the hell out of myself, since I normally don't trust Harbor Freight with items like this.

 

Removed the mud flaps and installed a faux pro grill. I have to wait until late July for the lift, wheels, tires, sliders and roof rack install. I feel like a kid in early December waiting for Xmas.

 

Oh lol I can walk to our Harbor Freight. When I go there I glance at those winches and wonder. I haven’t made myself stop and examine yet.

 

Covid my ass. Too many companies using this too much.

Like Rahm Emanuel said "Never let a good crisis go to waste". What a scumbag he is but now some companies have jumped on that band wagon.

 

Well it’s one my wife developed since the 4R is hers. But the pedal feel is much better than stock and it moves much better. These things don’t need as much sensitivity when compared to the Tacoma, no 6th gear means you guys don’t gear search as much.

Overall, it’s great. Made a third version with a blend of her preferred settings and mine. Impressive.

If guys on here have VF Tune and can read their ECU ID, I’ll make you a tester file for it. Downside is that we only have 4 available ECUs to make edits for at this time

 

To be fair, governments are paying people better to stay home and not work.

 

I think a lot of companies are manufacturing less to drive up the costs. Just plain wrong
