Careful with the high lift. It’s a door getter

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Looks nice. I'm still waiting for my sliders... I won't name names just yet, but I wish I went with Cali-Raised looking at how you got yours so fast. I paid for mine in February.

Finished the anytime backup camera installation today. On the first install attempt everything went good but the rear camera would not work. A little frustrating to say the least. Troubleshot the issue and replaced the bad RCA plug on the new harness. Its alway good to have a box of old plugs and adapters laying around. The premium, LOL, camera has to be crooked to view straight. It sticks down in front of the TSS sensor but does not cause an issue.

But with all that, Im happy to have this installed. It solves a real visability issue with the vehicle. No more blind driving over rises. Also since I usually dont have a spotter while 4 wheeling, this gives me a view almost straight down from the front bumper which is pretty huge.

Took off the bumper for the first time putting in new headlights. It was so cool seeing the 4Runner without the bumper cover.

Watching this, I was looking at the venture rack but the price seems excessive for aluminum cross bars. It seems like learning to weld would be cheaper lol

How was the install? This rack looks awesome, you found a sweet deal! The venture rack seems like less rack for the same price, and the LFD looks sooo good

Yea a lot of this stuff can be made for way cheaper. And there’s are defiantly over built for the factory rails. But they beat the factory cross bars with plastic ends that only have 3/4” of clearance on the roof

Morimoto XBs. I’m hoping the second generation is better than the first, and so far so good.

since I got it used I had to figure it out for myself, even then it was really easy
I like that I can just carriage bolt stuff to it and I don’t need special (expensive) accessory mounts

Got it installed yesterday. Took some experimenting to get things right and I had to calibrate it twice, but took it for a short drive and it works well. Senses the hills up and downs and when I am on uneven terrain. Overall not bad for $50. Had to split my charger on the dash to share with my tire pressure reader. It does come with a wire for doing a share a fuse but not sure we're to feed the wire through the back of the dash. Might looking into it but it works for now. 20210531_161004.jpg 20210531_161009.jpg

If anyone in N.C. is interested in some 265/70/17 Toyo AT3 with stock wheels feel free to PM me. Otherwise they are going up on Facebook marketplace. :)

nice! I put those on my 2021, was a little different from the rest of the models and needed to do some changes that weren’t explained anywhere. Nevertheless they work good now after I got them working properly. Just their customer service was bad, apparently specialists can’t speak to you on the phone you gotta email back and fourth. Had to figure it out myself. But man do they look nice!

Not today, but over the past few weeks... I use my 2013 Trail for camping, fishing and Search and Rescue work. I usually travel solo and sleep in my 4Runner. I eventually decided to make it a more comfortable travel "mini camper". I also wanted to keep things (mostly) reversible.

I added the Dometic fridge on a "poor man's storage box" (theshelvingstore.com 18"x24" custom rack). I have the OEM sliding tray and added some tie downs, so the fridge and stand slide out nicely. Works great for storing my stove and 100W Rockpals folding solar panel. I added a Victron mppt solar controller to charge either my 100Ah AGM battery strapped down behind the driver's seat or my AGM starter battery via my 12V always-on panel in back (USB-C PD, USB-A, 2-pin Engel/ARB/Dometic fridge socket, 12v socket, Anderson Powerpoles). I use powerpoles for much of my outdoor electronics and tools.

It's not super fancy, but works really well. All of my gear is easily accessible, and I sleep great with the rear seat bottoms removed and a rubbermaid 8gal box behind the passenger seat to extend the platform (MondoKing 77"x25" pad). I also added a Moonshade awning.

Most of the ideas and details came from many hours on 4runners.com :)

I'm probably outside the warranty time 2+ years. Also I already ordered the Timbrens for the front.

Still, a disappointing performance by DB. I've had Timbrens on previous rigs and they have been bulletproof.
