I bought some fancy 1" tweets, to put in there. Scan speak.. that cost a bit.
After i dug around, and saw all that space,.... i reversed. I put the Hertz in,.. loved em, but, even more room, made me think. Sooo, i put a larger, more top teir Hertz driver in, im hoping they dig a bit lower, and they also, can take more power. They fit fine. Im stoked. I can drop the high pass even lower, to join the mids in the doors. The adjustable tweets, are sick.
Ill get them on the mic (Umik running REW) this weekend, and see the change. Im pumped.

Decided to switch from LT255 to LT285s ST Maxx and got some wheels

 

coming soon.. TRD wheels, just ordered..

 

How did you like the 255's?

Bought it. Well to be fair I guess I should say WE bought it and since it’s hers it should be more like she bought it and I was there.

 

Looks good but I don’t understand a damn thing you said lol. I’m stereo terminology illiterate.

 

Front bumper installed last night. It was too dark last night for a nice picture. I am going to clean up the edges with door trim.



Then later I will get some lights installed as well

 

Today I talked to the dealer about this... There's a tiny mark that make it look as if a rock or something hit it, so it's not a warranty issue. Fortunately, the housing isn't cracked, so there's no way for water to get into the headlight.

OEM replacement is $1,000 plus $200-$300 labor for install. I guess so expensive because it's (half) LED? Alternatively, I can go aftermarket and replace both for that cost or less, or I can make an insurance claim and for the $500 deductible, and have it as good as new, with no dings against my insurance premium.

Aftermarket? OEM? Leave it as is? What would you do?

This is a lil b’s front bumper. It is really nice and heady duty. I was testing my ARB lockers this morning and already picked up the front with my hi-lift. Super strong bumper if I say so myself and the shackles on it are super big. I think the price is just right as well. $200 for freight anywhere in the 48 states from what they told me.

 

Bummer man. I would go aftermarket. My neighbor has aftermarket and those things are sweet. I bet you can also find someone trying to get rid of theirs if they went aftermarket. Might be worth looking into if you want to keep it stock.

 

I got my call about it today.

I didn't like the lack of fast forward/rewind on these things.

 

I had ST Maxx on the LT255 also. Paid for itself in the sharp rock gardens i go through on the trips.

 

Insurance, you pay them good money every month so might as well take advantage of it and get it fixed.

 

I have used VHT Nite-Shades in the past but the finish looked dull. I had my tail lamps on my Tacoma tinted by a body shop that mixes a few drops of black paint with clear coat and sprayed then baked them in a paint booth. They still look amazing after over 11 years. It costs considerably more to go that route but worth it (IMO).

Got the shipping notification that my UCAs are on their way! Looking forward to getting this lift installed.

 

Installed the @RagoFabrication console panels and the compressor mount... Got very creative with that because we had the arb mounted in the tool box.

 

Just got word, sliders will be delivered tomorrow. Wasn't expecting them for three more weeks, at least. 6-8 week lead time when the order was placed. I'm not ready, paint prep won't be here for another week. Maybe it will stop raining by then, lol.

 

The kids bought me a Hi Lift jack. I’ve got a Hi Lift jack ORK kit on order to make sure I’ve got it covered.

 

I have a plastic stabilizing base available. I bought a safety jack base so I don't need it.
