What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

You'd have to check Big Reds Instagram. He only made 8 and I'm not sure if he is making any more tbh. It's super high quality and was very easy to install.

 

Exactly why I'm driving to Denver this summer with the kids; gotta use what I bought for REAL up in RMNP.

 

Installed my RSG rock sliders yesterday. No angle, Dom Steel with kickout and top plate (for the pups and I to use as a step)

 

Updated my radio firmware today from Toyota. Not a new release but I didnt realize there was an update anyways.

 

I’ve never updated mine. Can you advise on how to do this? Thx.

 

I did dip them. They are holding well besides where I rock washed them. I will be touching up those spots this summer when I do the brakes. I prefer the dip because I don't feel as bad rock rashing $50 in dip vs $300+ in powder coat

 

they make bronze dip? I’ve been wanting to see how my icons would look if I ordered the bronze this may have saved me so much money.

Not a 4runner but I did just install Toyota rock rails on my GX. Love the tucked look.

 

I have the exact same ones also on a black 4Runner. Good choice.

Drove over to the hardware store with it on there and found myself worrying / being paranoid, that someone was going to steel the Rotopax. Guess I need the locking hardware.

 

I have the locking rotopax. It's nice that it will prevent someone from swiping it quickly but like with anything else, if they want it, they will get it.

I've found that the lock can rust up pretty quickly, however. If you get one, make sure to keep it well lubed. I slathered anti-seize all over the inside of mine and that did the trick.

Used some leftover vinyl to wrap the base of the shift knob.

 

Pretty crazy how that feels. Before I bought mine we rented a 4x4 4RUNNER on a vacation trip to Glacier National Park and we drove into the cloud on the road to the sun trip up there, my poor wife was fririking out could not wait to get back lower to see again. It was a nice trip after that thank goodness.

Are these easy to install?

 

Loaded up the bike and hit some local trails.

 

Installed my old-school CB using some rubber well nuts. I actually got the courage to drill some holes in the plastic, knowing it wouldnt look that bad with just the screws in place (for when I remove the CB)

 

Little more driving , and some cookin. Spent 8 hrs out on the trails today only ended up with a couple shots

 

Is that Arizona I see? Sedona maybe... (used to live in Phoenix and travel). I see you have been in Moab; it that Utah?

Time consuming but easy. Absolutely right/snug fit so getting the seat backs all the way down takes some effort. Many of the cutouts for buttons and headrests are very tight so they take some work to get them fitted. Easy, just slow.

Found it! I bought mine off of Etsy but the other links that have been posted appear to be a little cheaper and the exact same thing. Super easy installation. Great product.
