Now that looks like a truck. What rims/offsets? And of course what needy cutting?

Wheels are the FN Wheels FX Pro in dark gunmetal gray. They are 17x8 with 4.5" back spacing and 0 offset. All I did is a fender liner mod, no BMC needed. It's lifted 2.5" front 2" rear. Check out my signature for more details on my build.

Tires are 295/70/17, wheels 17x9 4.50” backspace, -12 offset and I still have my 1.50” spidertrax spacers on (leaning on removing spacers).

I have a cornfed lift on my pro suspension. 2.25” front and 2” rear.

I’ll be installing my UCA’s this weekend and have a 1” body lift to install also. I’m loving the extra height these tires give me.

Lame! Were they out of stock? Or, are they just dragging their feet?

How do you like those Mickey Thompsons? I was between them and the Toyo AT3 in spring and wound up with the Toyos because it sounded like the Mickeys would be loud. They look great!

I would lose the spacers. They'll still rub, but not as bad.

They make noise but they're not as loud as a dedicated mud tire. They have about 13K miles on them and still look brand new which is great.

Nice! I bought the 285 Toyos last April, but they obviously didn't hit the mark for me because I bought another set of wheels (Black Rhino) and tires (295 Yokohama MT) in January. o_O

I should clarify that the Toyos are great tires. I just wanted to have some real mud tires, at least once.

I ran Ridge Grapplers for a short time and hated them. Hands down the worst tire on wet pavement I’ve ever used. In general I’m not impressed with Nitto / Toyo tires.

Toyo makes good tires. I don't think they're affiliated with Nitto, but I could be wrong. Nitto seems hit or miss.

    I learn stuff everyday. :)

After looking, it seems they are owned by the same parent company, which is a bit different. Milwaukee and Ryobi are owned by the same company, but surely are not the same product.

I have been very happy with the AT3. treadwear has been very good. Traction has been good all around. And, they have even held up well in rocks. I gashed one sidewall, but it never punctured.

Added clear vinyl tubbing to the base rails of the Aluminum cargo boxes. My thinking is it'll help the boxes stay more planted by eliminating the metal to metal contact, while mounted. Also added a Ryobi electric power washer with foaming attachment. Vehicles don't get dirt dirty - in the desert, they get covered in the ever blowing silt. Tweaked a few other things to my liking on the swing out too. Just another day putzing around. :)

I know it's complete and utter overkill for my usage, but, little by little I'm getting some better armor for my 4Runner's underbelly. Pulled the trigger on the Transfer Case skid from RCI, and the Transmission skid I ordered earlier should be arriving tomorrow. Sadly though, still nothing in regards to the Engine skid plate shipping yet.

I do like having the tires at least flush. A little poke looks good, too. But, after about an inch of poke, you start getting into the "bro" zone. :D

You’re not wrong. Kinda like Dewalt / Black&Decker. I guess those Ridge Grapplers just left a bad taste in my mouth so I moved away from them. Still hands down my favorite AT tire is the WildPeak AT3W

I suppose so. Dewalt is a premium brand, while Black and Decker is more of an entry level brand.

I hear mixed reviews about Nitto, but generally good things about Toyo.

Plus, some brands are all over the board. Look at BFG; the KM3 are fantastic, KO2 is mixed but mostly positive reviews, and the Rugged Trail TA were junk.

It could be that the Ridge grapplers just aren't their best product.

You and 2/3 of the guys on Tacomaworld. :)

I haven't used them, personally. But, I still recommend them every time someone is looking for a do-it-all light truck tire.

Agree about the ridge grapplers.... they weren't terrible tires, but def had some flaws (primarily with the wet pavement traction). Big fan of Toyo's though... ran their Open County MT's on jeeps in the past, and excellent all around tires. Now have the Open Country AT3's on the 4R, and they've been great too... barely took any weight to balance, good on road manners, was excellent in the snow offroad, and haven't had any sketchy moments in the rain.

I just did a Google search on "Saker TuRD skid/stud mod" and did not find the actual modification. Could someone point me to the thread/video/article?

Changed it up a bit again regarding what size lift I'm wanting in my vehicle. Now I'm going for 2.5" Front 1" Rear (1.5"? I've seen both numbers for the rear Eibach coils)I don't know how I missed these over at Wheeler's Off Road when I was buying my front and rear Eibach shocks, but, I was looking at different coils and ran across Wheeler's/Eibach T1 front coils. Did some research, and heard good things, so, I bought a set!

Drove it to work and then drove home. Parked it and went to check the mailbox. And then, as I was walking back I looked at it! And thought to myself:”damn that’s a sweet looking ride”. I liked it so much that I had to whip out the phone and snap a pic
