What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I was on their site last week & saw those. What do you think of the quality? They look like a 4runner key should. Strong & durable.
Did you have to cut the key or did you use a cut blank?

The quality is great! Solid and comes with all of the pieces needed to get it done. It comes with a blank key that you can then take to a local hardware store and have it cut. I took mine to Ace hardware. The only pain in the ass was cutting away at my old fob to get out the chip to transfer to the new flip fob. Just follow video on their website and you are golden.

 

Long waited SSO Slimline Bumper came in last week... Coated with Anti-corrosion, put together with Smittybilt X2O 10K winch... Installed (took about 4 hours total).... Road test today in SoCal hi-desert...

 

We like them pretty well. I didn’t like the 66 because everything seemed fisheyed to me on the videos we watched. The 56 has the same capture as far as I know just not the same field of view

 

I have one on order with them. When did you order yours? Trying to get a feel on how much longer it will be.

With the recommendation of fellow member GBurd - new wheels and tires. Method 316’s wrapped in 265/70/17 KO2’s. 5100’s to come as soon as they come off back order..

 

I ordered November 10th. Just about 3months. I love it...

 

I ordered mine November 7th with powder coating. I know it’s been in the shipping queue going on 4 weeks now. I reached out last week and was told there was an issue with their boxing supplier and some staff got the Covid. I’ve also been waiting on my demello sliders.

Hoping they get shipped soon. Good to see someone got theirs.

Battery isolator and aux battery installed...everything but winch has been moved from start battery to aux battery

 

I hope that those plastic cell caps fair well under the metal hold down bracket.

 

I agree. I would consider installing blocks to lift the hold down off the caps. They would also provide more surface area to hold the battery.

Temporary I placed wood block as spacer....

It says flat but it is kinda semi-gloss. It has a little sheen to it. Looks like all the mopar cars decals

 

Little late but finally got the Westin steps for my wife's 4R. Put them on a couple weekends ago, she loves them, but godDAMN do they capture the snow/slush! When she got home I like to knock off what I can; the pieces from the bars must have been over 30 pounds.

Either way, I am satisfied. I'll try to get some pics. My daughter loves having something to step on. A predator or the like would probably be BETTER with respect to actually assisting those trying to enter and exit the vehicle, but these are far more subdued.

It's been a great vehicle now 4 months into ownership. Here's hoping for hundreds more!

If you can reach the area for the backside its "safer" but as long as its warm enough to push
can still be used on the paint side

Tip: have some water around to help cool area and set panel

 

Did you vinyl wrap them?

 

Not 4runner related... I replaced chrome bumper with a black one on my Tacoma. I plan to plastidip all the chrome badges this week also.
