I've gone past the 0 mpg mark on the cruising range readout.

Maybe by 5 miles or so.

Cruising range cannot be trusted, obviously. Just use it as a general guideline.

Thank you very much @nimby, I just reminded the Toyota dealership to followup with the diminished value claim. I will surely share my experience here on the forum.

For those debating mileage to empty. It’s an estimate based on a point in time and is usually only accurate for that moment. So if you kept the same throttle input and the same road elevation, you’d have x miles to go. If you add throttle, the mileage disappears at a rate greater than you would expect. For example, it says 10 miles remaining, you pick up speed, that 10 might change to 5.

It’s not always linear nor accurate to the mile. Just meant to scare the shit out of you after a bad decision not to fuel up after passing the last gas.

True story. I decided not to fuel up because there was a station less than a hundred miles away. It was closed. I ran out of gas as I rolled into the next station. Fortunately, I was on the bike so pushing wasn’t too much of a bitch.

I’m totally ok if you laugh at me. We laughed. A lot-I mean rolling into the station was about as close as you get to running out and that last twenty miles or so was the absolute middle of nowhere.

Well, haven't had it long.., but got fed up having debt (thanks Dave Ramsey).., took a giant leap and paid it off! That makes us 100% debt free. A bunch shorter in savings now, but paid the piper and am no longer slave to the lender!! Mods on hold for now, but I guess the best mod I could do was get an actual title!

    All of them.
Installed king 700 springs on my 6112’s much better now. No more front end sag and the ride is back to how the 600# springs road before all the extra weight.

front hub to fender now sits at

    driver : 22.50
    Passenger : 22.75
I have the 6112 sitting at 7 on driver and 5 on passenger. If I put the passenger at 4 I bet it will be 23.50 as well. But I’m not messing with it until it warms back up.

I'm thinking of trying Duratrac Load Ds after KO2s on my TRD. Many love them here in CO.

Regarding tires ...so far no issues road noise is minimal considering tread, stopping distance wet and dry about the same...then again I make it a habit to drive a little slower on wet pavement. The aggressive tread works gr8 on the trails mud/rocks...they do get a little wriggly on dirt and sand but that's only if you drive fast on that type of road...seem to be the case with most tires anyway. I roll on 'E' rated tracs due to vehicle weight and weighted when loaded down RTT, family, camping gear and essentials my psi stays at 45 in front and 42 in rear ... depending on gear or adventure it'll go up or down a few pumps (30-50)

Another wash. And ordered a OEM wheel so I can finally haul a full size spare. Will probably ratchet strap it to the roof rack unless someone has a better idea (not mounting under for clearance)3A3A54CD-4C79-44D7-9A38-40950372942F.jpg

Stock steel wheel is 7” wide same as the Pro wheel. You could have used your stock steel wheel for your full size spare. Unless you did it so it matches.

Do any of you have experience with the MagnaFlow Overland Series Cat-Back exhaust? If not, any recommendations and/or thoughts on even swapping out the factory exhaust to improve MPG. Thank you.

Sorry in advance if I am posing general questions (and shouldn’t be) in this What Have You Done to Your 5th Gen thread.

My father and I both went with the Borla 40665 muffler, stock pipes. There was a definite increase in power, RPM climb is faster. I am not in love with the sound but it's a V6 IMO it was well worth it. Muffler is $107 on Amazon.

Thank you for the quick response and link. I really appreciate it. Like you mentioned, I am looking for an improvement in performance and not so much sound, I don’t want the sound to be obnoxious or overbearing.

    Aw it see
I've considered top carry but my short @$$ would get crushed trying to get it down if I ever needed it...that or it roll off into the distance
I've also thought of just throwing it in the cargo area but then no cargo room, so idk
Maybe on the hood like the humvees in theater might work lol
But then that would probably trigger flash backs

It’s not obnoxious by any means. Reality is though, if you go more free flowing, you will increase power within reason, but you will also increase noise. It’s a V6 so it’ll never sound great but it does sound good for what it is and I was impressed with the instant power gain. I’ve done many exhaust systems over the years and I have never felt the bump in power that I did with this simple muffler swap.

Welded 90/180 deg stops and the wheel bolts , and added a backup toggle latch to the DOM tire carrier.
