Finally got around to installing fog lights I purchased last year from Diode Dynamics. Pretty easy install, passenger side definitely a little harder than the driver side but still overall pretty easy. Also changed out all my interior lights to brighter LED’s. Next will be the headlights.

While I have had everything for my lift kit (Bilstein 5100s, 3/2 Toytec springs, differential drop, UPC UCAs, and TRD Pro wheels) for a couple of months, I did not have the tires. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my Michelin Defender LTX 285/70/17 tires from Amazon. They are scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

I had the springs powder coated a bright red which will match the caliper covers.

I have been pretty patient up to this point but now that the tires will be here tomorrow, I cannot wait to get everything installed.

I still have a Pro grill and a cold air kit sitting in my garage that I need to install but as they say, one thing at a time.

Ordered the Eibach Stage 1 kit last night. It's for my 2016 SR5 that is basically stock right now. Being in Canada, I ordered from Lowriders. Surprised that it's not a stocked item and that I'll be waiting for about a month... Regardless, I'm happy that it's on its way.

That being said... I'm wondering if people are recommending that I install other related components like a front diff drop or a sway bar relocate??? I will be installing it at the 2.5" setting... just want to make sure that I'm not missing anything.

What's really cool on the 21 4 Runner is I don't have to put the key in to lower the rear hatch window.....

I feel like there's so much going on in this picture. Are you in traffic - in the left turn lane - with interior lights on - taking a picture?

Possibly left turn lane while stopped , no interior light just flash, while sitting in the passenger seat. But you almost got it.

With the stage 1 kit, you're getting 2.75" lift coils in the front. You're going to want to put them on the lowest setting on the front strut so the coil is giving you the lift.

At 2.75" of total lift in front, you will not need a diff drop or sway bar relocate.

However, you might want to consider UCAs......depending on your set-up. Some people don't feel they need them, others do if they are running bigger tires and rubbing on their mudflap and/or body mount.

Do you plan on running bigger tires / aftermarket wheels as well?

Noting more than mid-32" for the tire size. Although I would like to have wheels close to TRD type offset... Nothing drastic for me.

Some people report rubbing on mudflaps and/or the front fender liner at stock height with 275's and Pro wheel offsets (+4). Adding a 2.75" lift in front with stock UCAs will pull your tires rearward in the wheel well........so you could be rubbing on your mudflap. No way to tell for certain unless you put everything on and try. A cheap solution to this is using a heat gun to remold your mudflap or take your front mudflap off completely. The downside is that handling is better when your tire is pushed further forward in your wheel well (higher caster number).

The other option is to get UCAs, do the front fender liner mod, and push your caster up to 4 degrees. The benefits are better steering/road manners and no rub on the mudflap/body mount. The downside is the cost of the UCAs.

Installed the ARB differential breather kit. Ran separate lines for the differential and the e-locker to the engine compartment on the passenger side, rather than connecting the two lines together at the axle. The ARB kit comes with enough hose to do two lines, but just barely. I read that there is plenty of extra hose, but not in my case. If I did it again, I’d cut the hose into two equal sections before starting. That way I’d know how much slack I had to play with. Overall an easy install.

I think I remember others with that kit mentioning that sway bar relocation mounts are included with it. I'm not 100% certain though.

Careful if you run that through car washes. It will cut through the mylar tape and right into the hood with the metal mounting brackets. The shield covers it but wanted you to know. I tossed mine and went with weather tech.

Gave mine a wash and a ceramic boost wax... so that my current scratches will look there best before being introduced to new scratches this weekend.

Heading out (northern Michigan) for a 4 day weekend of snow wheeling. At least we hope it will be snow wheeling... looks like some rain passed through the state today. All the snow down by us has melted away, hoping that’s not the case further north.

Need a suggestion. Cost excluded arb single or arb dual?

I previously ran a power tank in the Tacoma and while it’s definitely faster it’s not infinite and over time the cost outweighs the benefit. I most likely will not install a front locker as was in the Tacoma but if I do decide to I’m thinking an electronic locker for the front since the air locker constantly had air issues.
