Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
My '19 SR5 has one piece also.

Victory window molle panels installed; got them for the cargo basket they offer, but these arrived first, still waiting on the basket.

Rhino USA 3/4” D-Ring Shackles in Matte Black and Red Accents.

Any suggestions to fill in the space between the rings? Thicker washers maybe??

Washers can get lost. If trying to prevent rattling, remove them and store in your recovery bag.

Maybe some sort of suspension bushing with flanges on both sides? As mentioned, anything that won’t stay put will inevitably be lost.

and yes, I’m waiting for the tie-down ring attack. :anonymous:

cug- I get what you mean but thats been talked to death. Yes those are tie-downs but can still be used for recovery I've yet to see them fail...not that they can't but then again even heavy recovery points can fail not to mention the starps or chains (just saying)

    2) flip them around less you want to loose them (fact)

The thing is: I don't care too much if a strap or soft shackle comes flying. But someone who's putting a hard shackle around a hard shackle then attaching that contraption to a tie down point is not the level of risk I, as the one in the flight path of the hard objects, am going to take.

I'd take all that garbage off, put two soft shackles around the tie down points, a tree saver between them, a soft shackle to attach to the recovery strap/rope which goes to a soft shackle in a mounting point that is designed for soft shackle on my vehicle. Then a weight on the rope, and that thing is safe even if I'm an idiot and use kinetic energy when I shouldn't ... something might break, but injuries will be extremely unlikely. I haven't done all that much off-roading myself, but I have worked in the unfortunate situation of having to recover or repair too many cars (when I worked at Ford for a year in the early 90s) and I have seen things break that I would have never thought possible. Dynamic forces are a bitch.

Rattling my brain around another dual battery setup. I had one in the Tacoma and everything was in the bed. I don’t have that option with the 4Runner without loosing too much precious space. What’s the consensus of red arc of the blue sea acr ? I had the red arc in the Tacoma and chose to leave it in there when I sold which hindsight is 2020 should have at least disco’d the battery and pulled the redarc.

I have the blue sea; pros are that it’s a very simple, durable, and reliable system. Only cons are 1, only ideal if you’re running two of the same battery; and 2, it does make a very audible click sound when it engages or disengages (so about 30-60 seconds after turning vehicle off it will click and disengage; then about 30-60 seconds after starting vehicle it will click to engage).

No regrets though. The click thing isn’t much of a bother.

I have no personal experience with redarc, but my understanding is that it’s the way to go if you want to run two different batteries (like say an AGM for primary and lithium for secondary).

See that’s what why I’m considering going red arc is the ability to keep my factory battery and shave off some of the cost. A buddy of mine pulled his out of his truck and offered it to me for 300.00 with all the wiring and enough to run to the back of the 4Runner for my fridge.

We were originally going to go with a jackery and solar but the jackery takes forever to charge off the truck and if overcast is an issue then no charge. Also the jackery only has so many charges before it’s no longer efficient so it may last a year may last 5 years and then we have to buy it all over again. With the dual battery I may have to buy a new agm battery every 5 years but it’s 200-300.00 compared to another 1000.00 (that’s based off having the jackery 1000.)

I got rear ended today. The “Pearl” drove away with minor damage, can’t say that for the other car.

    Glad/hope everyone is okay!
What hich hoop is that? Have you accessed the trailer support for any damage?
Some think that items like this could actually bend your frame (not I)...
I believe tow hitches or similar can take & transfer the impact across the hitch & frame to just push it forward.
I am interested in your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

DAYUM!!! I'm glad I put a recovery hitch thingy on mine last weekend. I took the d-ring off of it, but I doubt it'll add much protection.

I would have the frame fully inspected by someone who knows what they are doing. Rigs are designed for impact. When that happens with a hitch sticking out all the force goes to one point.
Same thing happened to my old taco. I drove away thinking scratch free while the chick was still picking cell phone splinters out her cheek.
My hitch twisted the frame. It was fixable but still a pain in the ass

Visually there is no damage (got under the vehicle also) I’m no expert so I’m going to get the car checked out by a professional, at this point I feel very lucky I pulled the valance off and there is no damage to the main part of the “plastic” bumper cover and it appears a new valance should snap back on. Hoop is a rhino hoop.

I appreciate you bringing these to my attention. I got them earlier this week, and put them in today. The Auxito reverse light LED bulbs are seriously bright, and as well, they throw light much further out to the side. Here's some additional before and after photos for anyone researching these:

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Eh, the hitch receiver comes out some. The frame was probably going to get bent anyway. The hitch might give a bit more leverage to bend the frame, but whatever.

    Oh please
Stop being babies it would be a different story if there was loss of life. As he mentioned the women was picking glass from her face when he drove away...oh but I'm being called out, c'mon now. Look everyone was fine and Ryan drove away he's said "pain in the ass" and I made a pun of it...thats it. Let's move on
And yes I've been in a few accidentes and worst $#!+ I wouldn't want any of yall to go though...I still find humor in life
What have yall done to your rigs lately
