Canvasbacks are great. You may want to wait for Black Friday to order. Normally that is their only sale of the year.

Nice thanks for the heads up! I actually already ordered, I reached out to them and they were able to give me a $20 discount a for being on the local department (it fell under their military discount). I just doubled down for the red stitching since that's what the interior seats have. Looks like a great product, i'll be excited to get it installed.

Way to pull the trigger! Now that I know about the sale, I will likely wait until then. I too will go with the stitching.

Def. agree w/ it looking to be more geared towards buggies, atv's, etc. The cave exploration looked like fun.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
That looks like a lot of fun. How fast were you able to go on those straights? The buggy at the end looked like an alien spacecraft with those wobbly antennas lol! If you guys like mine explorations check out this guys channel. He gets into places I wouldn't dream of going! Cool stuff.

    The same 4Runner everyone has
The whole area's really just an offroad park, it's pretty chewed up from all of the desert rats blasting around. I tend to look for really remote areas to explore in protected areas like the MNP and Death Valley. The Burro Schmidt tunnel is really interesting- the guy spent forty years digging it by himself to make a route through the mountains to transport ore. It proved ultimately fruitless when they built a road before he'd even made it halfway. But he insisted on finishing. The exit goes outside to a steep bluff with no road down, so it's kind of a dead end. He just finished the tunnel and that was it.

In the 4Runner I really only went about 30-40 on the main roads, everything else slowed me down to a crawl. The RZR buggies can really move. Even through choppy stuff I'd estimate 50-60. Dedicated long travel helps a lot!

Well, I didn’t want to spend as much for husky and weathertech, so I got the maxliner, fronts only. I very rarely have anybody in the back and these ran me 132cad (100us)
Perfect fit on the clips and all corners.

This is the brand that "Matt's offroad recovery" uses on YouTube. They take a lot of abuse but are a bit big.
I like kinetic ropes & will be buying one for winter here also. Pushing snow you can easily get stuck in a big storm...

    @A&P
We live in different climates to an extent. You may get snow from the lakes or off shore while ours usually come from the Rockies.
We haven't seen large snow in a few years but one year we got 60" of snow with one storm drifting up to the second floor of houses!
Anyone on the outside of the city gets the blowing winds of open corn fields & can make travel impossible! While in the city it is just like everywhere else. The new thing here are bad ice storms & those are horrible.
Buy smart & keep safe. Also, thanks for helping others!
    Ryan.

40,000 mile oil change today. Can't believe I'm already at 40k on this thing.

Switched the plastic oil filter housing over to the metal one. Metal one screws on a lot easier. The plastic one fought me most of the way.

Added a little anti-seize to the skid plate bolts.

    Purrs like a kitten.

Put 6.6qts of fresh oil and a new filter in my 5200mi monster. It was pretty dark. Normally I’d have done it right before 5k miles for the first one and then go about 7-9k afterwards depending on use. But this is the earliest I could get to it. Truck has been ridden hard

Am I the only crazy person here that puts 6.5 quarts in their 4Runner so I can save the other half a quart for the next oil change?

Same here. I really do not think the .1 qt. is going to make a difference at all, certainly not going to cause wear or damage.

I always chuckle at the additional 0.1qt it says to add. Good luck trying to measure 0.1qt out of the oil container. Do they really expect us to be measuring this shit with a graduated cylinder? lol

Upgraded to the Aluma series and have the Boss 2.5 Coilovers with rear shocks(non rebuildable ones that are good) and the rear non heavy duty superflex coils for rear. Suspension is in good condition and I highly recommend for anyone in need of bang for buck. I had some disposable cash to upgrade and went for it in the Aluma series, which is nice. The coilovers are fully rebuildable, but doesn’t need it. Toytec obviously rebuilds for probably 150 per, but you probably know that. You will need to buy the hardware, the diff drop kit and bump stop kit from Toytec, but thats easy peasy. Its great suspension and trying to find a suitable person to buy. Ideally someone that will actually use their 4runner. Too many shiny rhinestone laced 4runners driving around. Anyways picture will have dirty suspension bc that’s awesome. Photo doesn’t show the rear coils/springs, but I have them. 800$. I feel this is a solid deal.

Shrockworks sliders & rear bumper, Toytec 3/2 lift, ARB diff mod, 8 pod RGB LED's, RCI steel front skids, Big Sky katana rack, Reese roof rack, cool stickers.
Cleaned out the KDSS stabilizer guard, after reading about someone else's KDSS system failing due to corrosion in that area. And yes, it was packed full of dirt, almost solid. Painted it afterwards, for the upskirt shots.
