Gave her a good wash this evening. I'm seriously thinking of plastidiping the front and rear valences this weekend.

Today our 4runner got is first trial of towing. I had work to do & my truck is still in the shop. I just took my 36" for weight but had 3 big yards to aerate. It pulled like a champ. Left it in S4 & let it do its thing. I am happy with it! Not sure on the weight of the setup. 14' trailer... I loved the roll down back window!
13 miles of aerating... I am exhausted!

I installed the Diode Dynamics “Tail as Turn” harnesses in the rear tail lamps tonight. Took all of about 15 minutes and that’s only because I watched the video first. Super easy and they work exactly as advertised.

I need to do this for my wife. I think it is much safer for the larger light to be flashing.
    Congratulations & thanks!

    Nothing yet.
Just put some new shoes on the new ride.

These damn 4runners. I have a fun, short little trail I do that has a few hills with some technical portions, mud hole (at times), and some off-camber hillside portions (it is a short little trail, but fun).
    20201006_163238.jpg
I did this trail with the stock tires (our 2020 TOR is used). It did fabulous (we have owned it for 5 days). Just swapped out the tires to stock size wild peaks. Holy balls, this rig is fabulous. We won't be lifting it (leveling yes, in a year or so). This thing with these new tires, holy crap.

This pic is just before the trail ride.

Whereabouts in New York are you? Cooperstown here and I head up that way regularly as my buddy has a cabin in the Adirondacks. I also am in an off-road club in the Catskills.

Phew... finally! Got worried for a bit also, because they appeared to have been lost in Illinois for a couple days, then when they showed up the box looked like this... (torn wide open)

Thankfully no damage and no missing parts.

Installed the Canvasback cargo Matt with the 20” Bumper flap. Still waiting on the gobi ladder. Ordered it eight weeks ago.

Just ordered the URD Mark3 Cat-back Exhaust.

Still pending the outcome. Front's all back together, but waiting to wrap up with some work stuff this morning, then a quick/rough alignment in the front so it's at least good enough for a test drive around the block. Have an appointment early tomorrow for full proper alignment (or more so to double check my DIY work).

Then heading out for a weekend on the trails :)

275.70.17 falken wildpeaks at3w. yes rub, had to push liner and trimp front bumper edge. Still have intermittent rub on the backside of left front on the mudflap. May press down with heat gun until i lift than get some more caster.

You'll read a lot on this tire size on here, and the truth is its probably 50/50 whether you will rub or not. Don't believe anything else otherwise.

So far, it is very smooth. Fronts are the 2.5 Fox DSC Ext travel tuned by Accutune; rear is Fox 2.0 with adjusters also tuned by Accutune, Dobinson 1" coil springs. Looking forward to seeing how it handles some rough forest roads, routes, and a few small whooped out areas, this weekend.

It's really just differences in alignment that cause rubbing issues with 275's and stock wheels. Some people have their caster further forward and have no issues rubbing with 275's. Some have their caster further back and it rubs on the mudflap. Your caster is set too far back.

*Disclaimer - With Pro wheels, you do have the potential to rub on the front fender liner/flare, but Pro's come with the fender liner mod so that should be expected when purchasing those wheels (or any others with the same specs)*

Yeah understood- so is that to say that the factory alignment on any given NEW 4runner, or wherever final alignment is done, is not the same?! Which is both crazy, but also really understandable at the same time...

I imagine they set them to the same numbers at the factory, or within reasonable tolerances. There are a lot of places alignment numbers can change though. Loading and unloading off ships and trucks and test drives are a couple that come to mind. Then you have people driving on and offroad a few thousand miles after their purchase and altering suspensions before they go to get another alignment. It falls out of alignment surprisingly quickly.

268D0C28-3DE4-4245-A967-F9B7D0EFDEF7.jpg Well went a different route with tires. Yes I could have got the ToyoAT3 from somewhere else since my tire guy could not get them. So I gave him the tester back and had him get me the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Also they just put in hunter road force balancing machine. I was nervous putting these on since they could not get my Falkens balanced and I returned them. That machine did a awesome job on balancing them. These tires do not ride bad at all. They do look awesome!!
