What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

The lights are from Rough Country...stock mounts with a simple steel bar to bolt the mounts to through the bumper 'cover'.



Same for the front 6" bars on the from bumper valance.

Ended up being FAR more stable than expected. If I didn't know better I would think they were mounted directly to the bumper they are that solid.

Added the insert for my hood today. It’s also at the shop for a new exhaust and a little dipping.

 

Couple appearance mods today. Picked this CF head unit surround up from @Living the dream a couple weeks ago, now installed:



No plans to add any more, just thought it went well with the carbon fiber shifter console.

Finished this project this morning - FJC auto shifter from Ebay. Trimmed 1/2" out of the middle, a little needle nose plier & dremel action, and voila! Matching AT & TC shift knobs:

Nah, I'm only seeing 2019 and earlier there. I also noticed that the steering wheel parts are also for 2019 and earlier, but that can be dealt with by cutting an extra hole. 2020's navigation has a very different shape.

Anyone know the size or where to get a switch blank for the USB/AUX hole in the console under the stereo/HVAC?

 

Installed LFD crossbars on my stock rail yesterday. Looks pretty good, will look even better when the 7/8 roof rack rail comes later in about a month.

 

I believe the usb under the radio and hvac controls is this one....

 

Finished up my Ironman Foam Cell Pro stage II and BFG KO2 285s install.

 

My c4 bumper shipped today. After 2.5 months.

Started yesterday and just finished:
-Swapped in a black scoop
-Dipped the TE wheels
-Magna flow added
-K&N CAI added
-Peddle commander added
-Found a matching headlight, so both now are stock black housing

 

Looks great!! Might be a silly question but do you need a rack to install one of the rooftop tents??

Hi, what type of plasti dip did you use on the wheels, they look great! How is it holding up? thanks.

 

This one, not actual plasti dip brand. We used 5 cans on the 4 wheels and caliper paint on the emblems. Will do the same to the FJ now, youngest daughter fell in love with them.

 

How hard was it to relocate the USB/AUX?

Super simple, 10 minute job. I used the blank from the glove box and put that on the dash. I have no need for a USB port on the dash. I like my thumb drive out of sight in the glove box, keeps the dash clean and un cluttered.

 

Added a cargo basket to the prinsu rack. Not sure yet if I'm going to keep it on full time but could see it being useful when loading up the rack.

 

I have not done any serious off-roading but it looks like it clears the mud flaps fine but front liner will need a slight adjustment.

Anyone know if they make a plug for the 2020? The dash USB is smaller than the glove box slot

 

Took off the Sr5 badge, painted the grill bars white and added yellow fog light tint. Now we’re just waiting for the badge overlays to come in.

 

Installed Meso TRD start button along with AJT designs FOB and climate knobs!

 

Same rack slated for Tuesday delivery.
Rough idea how long install took start to finish?
Any install issues or tips you can share?
