Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I thought about wrapping mine too but I never used wrap and it seemed like it could be a pain in the butt to do. I used spray on bed liner because I do use my roof rack at times and figure the liner would be tougher than paint. Very happy with the results.

That freakin sucks and thank you for sharing your install and experience with “Amazon” with us. Will definitely have to watch out for that company! Looks nice on how you mounted it on stock roof rails. What size awning did ya go with?

Not sure why it’s the companies fault? Seems like it got fucked during shipping.

    * Installed OEM LED fog lights.

    * Installed my Niserack roof rack.

    * Installed ARB rear diff breather.

I've been working on rigs 20+ years. Why am I still surprised that every project takes longer than anticipated?

I went with the 2000, the recommended size here on the forum.

The awning is inside a bug cardboard tube, and that was inside the UPS box. The UPS box looks great but the tube looks trampled on and both end have come undone. Hence the missing hardware.
The awning might have been damaged in the way to Addiction 4WD but they didn't care to check the state of the tube and contents before shipping it out.

If the box was intact and undamaged with the contents damaged or missing, it's definitely the company's fault. It's definitely something you shouldn't have to tolerate. Send it back!

obviously you didn’t care enough to reach out to them before mounting it to your runner and bashing them on a forum.

Very clean install. What sub(s) are you running? In our X1 I have a single JL 12w6v2 paired with a JL Slash 600/1v3. I haven't decided if ill add anything to the Runner just yet. If I do, it might be be the 13TW5v2-2 so that it can nicely tuck without sacrificing cargo space.

But your miles are slightly longer now, haha. Still pretty terrible gas mileage though.

The 265/70R17 has a diameter of 31.606" (in theory) and the 285/70R17 has a diameter of 32.709". So you have a circumference that is about 3.5% larger than before (32.709 / 31.606 = 1.035) so your 14.7 MPG come out to about 15.2 MPG. Still a really big hit to your fuel mileage.

I concur. I would start w/ shipping vs. company. If you haven't already, I would simply file a complaint and start a return order due to product being damaged from shipping (somewhere in the chain). It touches so many hands, and while companies do make mistakes, I would give them a second chance before a "bash" of the sorts.

That's pretty good. Wouldn't expect that much of an mpg drop with that tire weight.

Was that a direct comparison of before and after tires were put on?

Did you add any weight elsewhere at the same time?

This is my second or third tank since the new tires. Wanted to make sure it wasn’t an error. I’d average 17mpg before and around 313 miles before I filled up.

I do have a big ass awning but it’s been on for a few weeks

    I see.

You lost roughly 2mpg with those particular tires. I've seen quite a few people report something similar.

When I was living in San Diego, I was getting 17mpgs with stock tires. When I put my 285's on, I went down to 16mpg's but they came in lighter than yours at 42lbs. I was typically driving 75-80mph in San Diego.

I got my mpg's back (and then some) when I moved to a different city where the maximum speed limit is 55mph. Now I drive 65mph daily and I get 18mpg.

The moral of the story being aerodynamics (and highway speed) plays a big roll in our mpgs. If you're able to slow down to 65mph on the freeway, you'll do a lot better. But some people aren't able to do that. I wasn't able to drive slower in SD. When I moved to Santa Cruz, I was forced to drive slower.

That should help with the glare. I have noticed quite a bit of glare off the dash in ours on occasion. Kind of like the hood scoop glare, it doesnt happen all the time but when it does it is impossible to ignore.
