Makes sense. If you end up removing those bolts, post up if it works to gain access to that bulb...

Just installed this today... Quick and easy, fully plug and play In 10 minutes.

Went from cold charging voltage of 13.5 to cold charging at 14.5... hot charging from 13 to hot charging at 13.8 Even with my stereo system going, ac on blast, headlights on and all. No more 12.8-12.9 volts even at 2000rpm.

I'll really get to see what's possible once I get my 280 amp high output alternator installed.

    Singer bypass voltage booster mod.

I took those 3 bolts out, no luck with removing the upper panel, I think there need to be a whole lot more to come out first before that panel can.
That bulb looks to be a special type, wouldn't have the LED equivalent to swap it anyways. I'll just leave it be, it probably requires a tool to extract, last thing I want to do is to break it from messing around LOL

You're probably going to need to drop the whole glove box to get to it. It's not terribly difficult (had to do it to wire up my remote starter) and you can find instructions here:

Installed LED kit today and I'm pretty happy with increased lighting. Holding off on installing the puddle LED's until I get the blacked out mirror turn signals.

Thanks for being a guinea pig, and attempting this. Looks like you're right, probably not worth the trouble. I think the sellers of LED bulb kits have no clue the glove box light won't take the same type of bulb. I appreciate your willingness to look into this.

FN FX Pro matte gunmetal wheels and Toyo AT3 tires are on! Love the new look, looks so bad ass even with stock suspension and standard 265 70R17 size.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Got the U-Haul trailer and loaded up the Willys. tomorrow into Sunday we'll be going 640 miles to my Son in North Carolina, the Willys is his now. Towing just the trailer (about 2,300 lbs) was fine. almost no rear sag and the Runner pulled it with no problem at all. It was all flat and only for about 6 miles. I took it for a short drive with the Willys on it and yeah, there's a noticeable difference in acceleration but it doesn't struggle by any means. We'll see how it does on the highway. Pretty good sag in the rear but it looks worse in the pic. The slope of the drive way adds to that too.DSCN5518.jpg

Back the jeep up so it’s more over the tandem axles on the trailer. It’ll put less weight on tongue of trailer and less sag on the runner.

Can't. The tires have to be against the stops in front of the trailer in order for the straps to go around the tires. The straps just make it around the 32's as is.

I thought of that but the top is in so-so condition and would probably rip apart from the wind. Thanks for the suggestion though. I don't want to take it off in case of rain
